We have all been programmed by our corporatist environment to think we need "important, famous rich people" to collect and throw money at us, so that code can be written.

But we can just work at a restaurant

or farm potatoes

or have a boring office job

or work the IT help desk

or be a housewife

or a college student,

...and code.

This is a real thing.

We don't need their money to build.

We don't need their permission to build.

We build for ourselves.

On our own time.

On our own dime.

We are sovereign coders.

Years ago I bought into the idea that deflationary currency was unworkable because it would make raising capital too hard—that inflationary money was a necessary evil because to do otherwise would be to set a floor on interest rates equal to the real purchasing power accrued simply by holding the currency. I would guess that this remains the number one misconception among informed, intellectually honest critics of bitcoin.

I keep seeing ZK rollup and weird EVM variations on bitcoin and bitcoin on alts, hard to tell hard to know what is real and what is a scam.

It's ridiculous that when you download an image file to run a node, eg raspiblitz....img.gz, a Mac will automatically unzip the download and throw the original in the trash. You are then left with raspiblitz...img and when you hash it you'll get the wrong hash. Because you're hashing the extracted (wrong) file. You have to take the original out of the trash and has that.
