Indeed. As someone who goes back in this space to the cypherpunk era of the mid 90s, and who has been involved with Bitcoin almost from the beginning, I often don't recognize today's Bitcoin "movement", the players, or the agenda.
Fortunately Bitcoin itself is doing just fine, and I know that movements morph and change as they age and grow with new members.
I have all of twitter completely blackholed as 0.0.0.0 for my entire home and office network, as well as all my devices.
The silence is deafening.

It's all a bunch of noise until actual, publicly verifiable evidence is presented. So far it has been a mix of "trust me bro" and appeals to authority. Nice fodder for the grift.

Ate some asphalt today on my bike ride. Somebody dumped some mattresses and a couch on the side of the highway, and instead of going around them by going on the highway, I thought I could squeeze between them and the curb. It didn't work out.
Was able to get back up after a bit only a little worse for the wear and finish 25 miles, but not looking forward to getting out of bed in the morning 😏
Very much agree. I've only been active a few weeks, but it feels very much like bootstrapping the Bitcoin community circa 2012. Eventually you talk about something else. 😏
I'm finding the #Ccoracle #nostr client quite nice, with the exception of a few freeze-up bugs. I think my favorite feature so far is the ability to filter based on WoT score. Just setting it a notch or two above the minimum cuts out a huge amount of BS.
Don't know if this is a common feature with other clients, as I've only used it and Damus, but the concept is great.
