Very much agree. I've only been active a few weeks, but it feels very much like bootstrapping the Bitcoin community circa 2012. Eventually you talk about something else. 😏
There are still people who hate Bitcoin (nostr, LN, …) no matter what you say. And these are a different breed and we can do nothing about. Let’s keep doing what we are doing and eventually they will find their way.

Hey nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s , I’ve never had a Twitter or Instagram so I don’t have the best frame of reference, but my experience on Damus so far has been pretty rad. At first, my experience was kind of like @sommerfeld mentioned, but I didn’t follow a lot of people nor did I know you could mute things. Now that I follow a lot of really interesting people, it’s great. I don’t know shit about Bitcoin or development, but I find plenty of content that is amusing as hell. I think users should take accountability for their own experience. If you don’t see the type of content you enjoy, create it.

This is the only social media I have ever used. I can't imagine using anything else, as I just don't have the time. I was never attracted to any other, because it seemed too fake/controlled and propagandistic.
I have always been attracted to the perfectly imperfect, because that is what makes us human and what connects us. Fuck the polished, fake plastic watering cans. I want people to laugh at, to laugh with, and to tell our stories to.
