Spent the weekend exploring designs for showing stable assets like USD, EUR on Cashu. A challenging edge case: when users have different assets within a mint, and also spread across different mints. Cross-mint interoperability for stable assets makes my mind melt.

Nobody should put money into a US dollar account. The US can santion you and take your money if you are a foreigner. If you are an American they have a bunch of other ways to freeze and steal your assets.

Nobody should trust Lloyds of London or any other insurance company. They can sanction you and then refuse to pay out.

We have seen this happen over and over. Trudeau stealing trucker donations. US stealing gold from the Russian central bank. Lloyds of london refusing to pay out on the nord stream bombing.
