French 's speaking mum with 2 unschooled kids. Minimalism. Wanderlust. Freedom.

Which meditation are you using ? And what are the age of your kids ? I have been practising Vipassana and I do rememerber that the place I was use to go offer" Anapana course " for kids around 8yo.

Sorry but I am not agreeing on this. If you are a male. Try it and tell me how do you feel. It's well known now that it's far better for your health to sit down when you pee.

Ohhh vibes 🀩🀩

I love this and I'm super excited and looking forward to seeing all your content come through nostr πŸ’―

nostr:npub10awzknjg5r5lajnr53438ndcyjylgqsrnrtq5grs495v42qc6awsj45ys7 is this the kind of stuff we should start considering using Habla for?

I'm trying to imagine what blogging can look like for us future of blogger people πŸ’œπŸ€žπŸ«‚βš‘οΈ

Thank you so much Melissa :-) I will go and check Habla again ! Are you also publishing there ? Or do you have a plugin that link your own personal blog to Nostr ?

Hello Tony!

I tried Habla yesterday but had some problems... With my mum-brain, I get overwhelmed very easily with things that don't works as I wish. It's arlready a kind of miracle that I have been here already three days in a row ;-)

In fact, I can't add the relays in habla (" application error " ) so I don't get any notifications or even from my personal posts published on Iris.to.

But sure, you are right, ... a bit of text formating would be necessary ;-) I also hope to publish videos. thanks for the links. I am going to study it :-)

100% agree! I am tired watching them! They literally takes all the energy from me!

And when they ask me what I have done today I am a bit ashamed to tell them that I was laying on my bed in front the windows, moving my body as a cat to follow the sun.... πŸ˜‚β˜€οΈπŸ˜»

LoL what's that πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ unfortunately I am not wearing bikini anymore but for this I may do a exception πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Morning's Nostriches :-) !

I woke up this morning with the quote I feel asleep with yesterday 's night. "Do something today that your future self will thank you for." from Sean Patrick Flanery.

What are you guys doing today that your futur you will thank yourself for ?

From my side, just getting online here is something special ! I almost haven't touched my computer for 5 years. And now, I have spent at least 10-15 hours in front of it since I have signed up on Nostr ! Hope it will not becoming addictive and I will be able to find a balance Nostr / family ! But at least, I have added something new in my life since I was committed to my family only.

Today, I'm going to get out all my blogging stuff. When I was younger, I used to dream of being a full time blogger.

I had several blogs, a YouTube channel, and several (big and not so big... between 100 only and 40K) communities on Facebook on different subjects like budget management, minimalism, travel, bitcoin.

So I bought myself a super smartphone that shoots in 4K, an Osmo mobile to help me stabilise my videos, a microphone and even a teleprompter ! In short: a whole lot of stuff to shoot videos like a pro. I also bought myself 'Antidode', a programme to check my spelling mistakes when writing blog posts.

Today, I'm going up to the attic and digging out all my stuff that's been in storage for 5 years.

5 years is a long time. But for me, it's gone in a fraction of a second. It's like I've never left my computer or social networks. I was totally addicted in the past. I got a long detox !

But, now, it's time for a new project and I want to tell myself and you, to embrace today (which happen to be by chance monday, the perfect day to start something new!) as a chance for new beginning. Today can shape a life that brings you joy.

Consider what actions you can take today to better align yourself with your true purpose. These steps need not be monumental. And this is what I am doing : a step by step journey. With very little steps. For me, going to the attic and take back my blogging stuff or even reaching out to someone who shares the same values as me can make a difference.

Life is full of uncertainties and unexpected challenges that may come our way. Instead of viewing them as setbacks, let's see them as opportunities for growth. Regardless of what occurred last week, last year. Let's all remember that we hold the power to let go and focus on the future.

I'm feeling a lot of excitement and joy at having this new project.

And I hope you'll be part of the journey!

Wishing you a fantastic Monday ahead!

With Love,

Roxane

Good Night Nostriches !

I am going to sleep a bit less dumb about Nostr tonight !

After a day spent here, I have at least joined the french Nostr community in Telegram, discovered Plebchain, see that unschooling families are everywhere on Nostr, and the very best... Discovered what "relays" are and be able to set them to stop turning crazy !

I am now going to sleep with a quote of Flanery in my mind... That I hope will become true :-)

" Do something today that your future self will thank you for. – Sean Patrick Flanery "

See you tommorrow's Nostriches !

WAW Bob ! That's soooo great !! You are the Uncle I wishe I had ! haha :-)

But... That's a too complicated 101 for me. But at least, now I understood what "relays" are and after a day of getting my hair white I set up "relays" on in severals Nostr interfaces and finally get able to get notifications, DM in all of them... !!!

Thanks again ! You won a follower in both platforms :-)

Later today ill be babysitting my nephew he is 10. He's on summer vacation and I can tell he is bored. Makes me sad a bit that he doesnt have kids his age around where he lives and it seems like kids dont get together like they used to to hang out. Lucky for him, I'm the cool active uncle so I try to see him often to kick the soccer ball around, go to the pool, talk, play fifa etc. When I was younger I was blessed most the families on my road had kids my age so we were always outside playing basketball, street hockey, roller blading, playing made up games. It's how I became so competitive, I was usually the youngest and at a disadvantage but I would practice a lot after we hung out and I eventually started winning in all the games we played until most of my friends didnt want to play anymore because they couldnt win πŸ˜‚ .

Back to my nephew. I'm thinking of setting him up on a weekly allowance of Bitcoin for during chores in the house for his parents. I'm going do a weekly chart of multiple tasks and he will have to get it checked off for each day. Do you all have any good ideas of good things I can reward him for doing daily like making his bed?

I'm deciding between Breez and Phoenix. Leaning towards Breez because the apps tab that has bitrefill. This way he can buy Playstation gift cards himself and hopefully he thinks twice about it after he truly starts embracing stacking sats and savings. Shill me the easiest self custodial lightning wallet if you think it would be suited better for this use case.

My newphew told me a couple weeks ago he wants to save money so he can go to the USA to watch World Cup games live in 2026. Im hoping the bull market is around the corner and it opens his eyes to why saving in something scarce like Bitcoin is the way to go. The orange pilling has begun.

Anything zapped on this post will go to my nephew later after I set him up on Breez.

Also he got this for me a couple months ago for my birthday πŸ’œ. I got it on my work desk.

Wish me Luck!

Hope you had a great day with your nephew yesterday :)

Happy bday! I have joined your newsletter about your project in Madeira!

Whats about https://nostr.build/ ?

I am not a pro. Newbie for 48hours right now. I just came across it. Still discovering Nostr and getting white hair every second. Hope it helps.

Hello Nostr'iches from Sunny Belgian's Sunday !

Still trying to figure out how does it works :)

Where does the Nostr' s 101 is hiding ?

On the picture, my lovely 4yo Zelda 's learning to kayak on the Meuse, Namur, Belgium.

Where can I buy XRP ! (no clues of to edit my previous message)

The school system is sick beyond all darkness as you says. And this is so true.

Maybe you could develop a bit for people who still believe in it.

Have you seen how much it has changed the last century ? Look at a classroom from the time of your grandparents and from today. Same. Exactly the same. Oh no, now, they have a TV in the classroom and kids can watch Disney movies when the teacher feels it.

In Belgium, they are starting to give " sex talks/lessons " to kids from 3 years old. Because you know, they "need " to discover their body. Many health care professionals have alerted that's not OK for such small kids and school still follow this agenda.... ! Talking about agenda ... Have you heard about the transgender agenda ? In our public library (in Brussels, Belgium) they invited Drag Queen to read story for kids from 3 to 12 yo. I have nothing against drag queen. But I would prefer them to stay in Cabaret for adults show. Not to read story about the possibility to change your gender or making sex with someone with the same gender as you to my kids. Parents are dumbs. They all register for this and getting mad with me by telling me I am a kind of "drag queen racist " . But you know what, I have never seen any muslim woman with their veil or even any black man doing theses stories times in our public library....

Let's all Keep our kids safe far from this sick system.

Hello ! Great to find unschooling families here ! Where are you now ? Still in Spain ? And sure that you would gonna find Rebels & Critical thinking people in the bitcoin community ;-) Hope to meet up somewhere on the road !

Hello Melissa!

Just found out your comment by changing the interface... I couldn't see them on Iris.to but can get all of them now in Snort.social... even if I can't reply to them from this interface... lol

So, we are back to Brussels, Belgium for few days. We were in south of France and now going up to Denmark. Let's see where we go next :-)
