I understand that an adult's values are incredibly difficult to change. So, I don't harbor any hope of changing others' values or even trying to reconcile differences with them. For a long time now, I've been expressing my own worldview and principles. Beyond just recording and articulating them, it's also a way to filter out people whose values don't align with mine. Those who don't resonate with my values will naturally choose to distance themselves, which helps avoid collaborations with people holding different core beliefs.
However, beyond just shared values, it's also crucial to have complementary strengths, aligned interests, and fair profit distribution. I know it's not easy to find comrades who fit all these criteria.
In human society, whether in marriage, family, work, or social interactions, having aligned core values is crucial for any long-term cooperation. Unless one party is particularly tolerant for the sake of personal interest, differing values often lead to conflicts, separation, or even hostility. Therefore, if we want to build long-term cooperation, it’s important not only to consider mutual interests at the beginning, but also to check whether our values align. As it happens, I am an idealist—my values matter just as much to me as personal gain. So, when it comes to things that truly matter to me, no amount of money would make me give up my principles.

When it comes to choosing a partner, I hope to find a beautiful and intelligent woman. In terms of my career, I also aspire to have a high-paying, prestigious job that allows me to make a meaningful contribution to humanity. Whether in relationships or in work, what I truly seek is a partnership based on mutual respect, equal exchange, and complementary strengths.
However, if the other party approaches this relationship not with a spirit of mutual benefit and collaboration, but rather with a condescending attitude—as if granting favors to a servant—then despite my own vanity and desire for what they have, I would rather walk away than obtain it through flattery or begging. I understand that what they possess is valuable—but what I bring to the table is no less rare and precious.
My core belief is this: the world goes on just fine without any one of us. Even if both parties seem to hold something of great value, neither of us is truly indispensable.
One reason I needed to keep updating my resume a while ago was that, although my initial ideas had already taken shape, they weren’t quite refined yet. Secondly, at the beginning, I thought I didn’t need to showcase my full capabilities to get an offer. But as more rejection letters came in, I realized that what I had been presenting might not be enough to open the door to success. So I gradually increased my effort—until now, when I’m giving it everything I’ve got. It’s like a race: if you think you can win with just 60–70% of your strength, you might choose, as I did, not to go all out at first.

Based on my personal experiences and observations—specifically within circles familiar with Chinese culture and excluding strangers or people from other ethnic backgrounds—this phenomenon is quite prevalent: When you are in a weak or disadvantaged position, it is often unwise to be overly kind, soft, or eager to please others (such as offering help beyond your responsibilities) in hopes of receiving positive returns or reciprocation. In most cases, people tend to take your kindness for granted, and some may even exploit or take advantage of you more aggressively. Of course, there are exceptions—not everyone behaves this way—but I’m referring to the majority. Therefore, when you’re in a weaker position and considering whether to offer help within your capacity, it’s crucial to first assess the other person’s character.
It’s not that I’m incapable of doing case studies—it’s that I have little regard for them. I’ve said before that everyone operates under different conditions, and simply analyzing other people’s cases often amounts to nothing more than armchair theorizing in my view. To give a straightforward example: big companies have the money to hire top-tier celebrities to promote a product. But can small businesses afford to do the same? That’s why, in my opinion, the core idea should be to customize different strategies based on the specific conditions of each business.
