You underestimate the government. They excel at incompetence.
The interesting part to me will be how the SEC handles it. Can you imagine if they tweet later on tonight or tomorrow that the ETFs are approved? Would they have any credibility? Would anyone believe it? Would Gary also need to tweet from his personal account to state that this time the tweet from the SEC account is credible? Total clown show. If Gary Gensler were a stock I'd be shorting him right about now.

My guess is less about that and more about incompetence of the SEC. I think any asset would have gone through the same gyrations if put through a similar scenario. Which is worse, if the account really did get hacked or if they are incompetent idiots and posted a draft tweet too early? Either way this isn't a good look for the SEC. I suspect Tom Emmer and others will ramp up their calls for Gensler to be fired. Emmer has labeled Gensler an “incompetent cop on the beat” for his role in confusing the marketplace

People that haven't done the hundreds+ hours of research to understand beyond the old mainstream narratives often judge you or look down their nose at you; can be a very isolating feeling on the receiving end of the condescending attitude. Often made by others to feel like you are stupid and/or hiding a dirty little secret. But all they can do is parrot the mainstream narratives "scams, ponzis, bad for the environment, just NGU speculators,...blah blah blah." I feel like I'm trying to help them better understand a complex and revolutionary technology they don't want to put in the effort to understand. Has reinforced for me that you can't make people learn or change if they don't want to.
