Disagree. Energy in vs energy out is the wrong paradigm. Mass in vs mass out is a more appropriate paradigm.
A kilogram of boiling water has a significant number of calories in it. If you take that kilogram of water, completely seal it off, and let it cool off, it will still weigh one kilogram. But it doesn’t have the calories in it anymore.
So energy does not equate mass.
See Dr Michael Eades post about it for more details. Available as a recent lecture on Low Carb Down Under YouTube Channel
People as motivated as you will have success. Outsourcing the data acquisition and plan development makes sense. You’ll probably benefit from a team addressing this. What I care about for people like you more than a specific weight is that you live a long healthy fulfilling life.
I’m a doctor who effectively addressed my health by going against the medical guidelines. Not perfect, but progressing. Feel free to reference a longer post about my transition at www.foodasmedicine.org/post/eichorn-health-manifesto.
I’d be interested in talking with you about this. Note I’m only licensed in Michigan so I’d need for you to establish care physically in Michigan but then if you were to continue here you’d need to come to Michigan every three years. I’d also do an introductory visit first to see if we’re a good fit.
Other people id recommend in addition to those mentioned by others include:
Dr Tro Kalayjian at doctortro.com. Licensed in all 50 states and works with a team.
Dr Sean Omara at drseanomara.com. Works closely with very motivated people.
Dr Leland Stillman at stillmanmd.com. Nontraditional functional medicine.
Chris Masterjohn at chrismasterjohnphd.com. He would be an excellent resource to consult with if you’re looking at addressing nutrient deficiencies
Feel free to DM me as well or call my office at 269-276-4347. Please leave a message if I can’t answer when you call.

I don’t miss being tired, depressed, fat, having heartburn, needing meds. So after years of mostly carnivore it’s way easier to avoid sugar.
“Fork in the road, a hopeful guide to food freedom” by Dr Jen Unwin is the best book I’m aware of from a clinical addiction standpoint.
Videos-check out the “Carb addiction doc” Rob Cywes.
Personal experience initially was that recognizing that medical industrial complex profits from selling me fake foods that make me sick. Which made me so angry at them that at least it made me happy to not buy processed carbs.
Note even fruit from my backyard can trigger cravings. For some people dairy can be a trigger as well.
I use young living but brand isn’t that important. Other factors are important in dental health. Avoid sugar and grains. Include Active Vitamin A, vitamin D, and vitamin K2 are essential. Obtain by diet (organs, fats from grass fed animals, natto, and by going out in the sun.
