I am the community builder of

nostr:npub17cyatz6z2dzcw6xehtcm9z45m76lde5smxdmyasvs00r4pqv863qrs4ml3 in #ElSalvador & I also run

BitDriver, the first taxi business in the country that operates solely on the #BitcoinStandard.

I’m on a mission to change the world.

Here’s my story:

I used to work in the boring world of banks, “helping” people with loans and credit

cards🥴

But one day, I took a trip to El Zonte & I discovered #Bitcoin from a lady who sold us a

bag of ice.

We bought it out of curiosity, not knowing how this episode would change my life

During the pandemic, I saw a newspaper story about Bitcoin being called “digital

gold”.

I wanted to learn more, but it was hard to find information in Spanish.

I searched on Facebook but I couldn't find any helpful groups but scams.

In 2021, our president Nayib Bukele announced #Bitcoin as legal tender in #ElSalvador.

I was SHOCKED about it & started explaining to my family and friends what this meant.

Little did I know, my life was about to change. One day I lost my job and started driving for Uber.

But one of those trips changed everything. Four foreigners got in, and we heard news

about protests against #Bitcoin adoption.

One of the passengers was

asked me if I could give him an interview.

That’s how I became the first student of

directly from John

I quickly understood everything about #Bitcoin . This was just the beginning.

Then, I had an idea: I wanted to offer my taxi service and accept #Bitcoin.

It felt like magic once I began doing it!

From working in the traditional financial system to being able to provide transportation

services for the huge amount of people visiting #ElSalvador

Working on education at

And just as I change, I want the lives of my people, of my country to change, and that

can only be achieved with education and patience.

We knew we had to #startsmall before we expanded, but now we’re ready to go to

the next level.

Was great getting to know some new people and having nice discussions about the life in a bitcoin standard (cc nostr:npub19m9s8up7dqwc47ux4z842j74r7prm4wdgdt4ax7ndcs3fahjkv2qgk4hu6)

The biggest issues of our time:

• The largest debt bubble & capital misallocation in centuries due to incessant govt manipulation & money printing

• Widespread corruption throughout Washington DC

• A global child sex trafficking ring implicating an unbelievable number of powerful people with a web of connections to US intelligence that has been actively protected by the DOJ for decades.

• Enormous and worsening price inflation across the entire fiat landscape

• An endless stream of undeclared, blank check wars pushed by an industry that makes trillions on mass murder.

• The sickest generation ever, an epidemic of chronic disease that the medical establishment refuses to acknowledge because Pharma is making vomit inducing amounts of money on it.

• A system of total surveillance and control being architected by a global, unelected govt body.

• Total regulatory capture by both the major pharmaceutical corps and the major banking institutions.

• Unrelenting censorship & direct state sponsored speech suppression. Alongside a seeming endless stream of blatant lies & misinformation from the govt and establishment media.

I like your take. It definitely made me realize the value of Bitcoin early on.

Shadow work made me realize the importance of Monero.

So if my path of spiritual awakening is in anyway reflected by others, brace yourself for the awakening of the "dark side".

I joined #Nostr in December last year, having no clue how to use it or what it even really was, except that it was maybe an alternative to Twitter. I was skeptical, but I was fed up with Twitter, so I installed Damus and created a profile.

At that time profile management was poor, there were no direct image uploads, zaps didn’t exist, there was no native Android client, web based apps were lackluster, and there were no helpful how to guides available. And yet, 3 weeks later I tweeted the screenshotted messages below on Twitter, and a month and a half after that, I completed deleted my Twitter account. Now, a few months later, I see even more what Nostr’s potential is, well beyond just Twitter-like apps.

It is frustrating, and at times down right irritating, to see new users join Nostr only to immediately bemoan this or that feature, and then give up and disappear. Or even worse, stick around and continue to complain, but never take the advice given by users who have good answers to their questions.

Do you want freedom, or not? New things are seldom NOT easy at first, and things worth having usually require work on your part. Give it time, put in some effort, and take the advice of people who have already been through the same process of learning you’re going through.

Learning #Nostr is worth the time and effort, I guarantee it.
