Question number 1 needs to be: how much time do you have available to maintain said pool? Question 2: how much time do you want to spend maintaining it? Question 3: can you afford to automate things to reduce the amount of time required to maintain the pool to a level you are willing to do and WILL do so that you can actually enjoy said pool?

Made a kamikaze run to the NC Arboretum in Asheville today. Pretty nifty place. I will have me a Carolina Allspice soon (the bush with the burgundy’s flowers). They had a bonsai exhibit along with all their gardens, and they have a bunch of trails to walk. I was pushing the stroller so I didn’t snap many pics but I’ll upload some more when my wife sends me what she took.

Them onion ninjas got me good this morning while I was typing that out and rewatching that vidya. Ain’t sure where they came from either.

That’s my dad throwing the sticks in his PTO chipper at the very beginning, my buddy helping us, and my wife in the background. This was taken March 14th 2021. Dad passed away June 24 2022. I miss him more than I think can be said. If anyone lived #ProofOfWork it was him. He didn’t know how to slow down and I try to live up to that legacy on the daily, but I’ll never be the man he was. He was nothing but good to everyone he met. I wouldn’t be where I am without him. That house in the background is the one I grew up in, me and him built that 12x30 deck when I was 12yo. He never got to meet his first grandkid, my daughter, and he missed it by less than a month, he was so excited too. I don’t really know why I’m posting this except it just kind of makes me glad to know that at least this video will always be around like a memorial to him. Tallow is also very useful as a base for salves and soaps and such, in place of olive oil or the like.

Lavender, basil, and sage added to the list. Only doing one of each cause our plants are small and the wife wants to dry some, so I’m rolling the dice on a single cutting lol
