When I joined, I had very little idea that it's a Bitcoiners' community, but I had no doubts that it's all about freedom. Sadly, my confidence in this idea of freedom and Nostr diminishes with each passing day, and today might be the culmination of that uncertainty. I checked the profile of that person on X and learned that it's okay to come to Nostr for freedom, while supporting X with the blue mark and earning money from it. I doubt Jack is not aware of that. It's a relief to see that not all key figures of Nostr have blue checkmarks, though.

So, to answer your questions, whatever path you will take, please, don't build it on hypocrisy. If it's not killing it already, it will start eventually, unless I am still clueless about what Nostr is.

It's all beautifully and accurately said, but that's not all of it. When the initial enchantment wears off, you realize that you are in the Bitcoin community where a particular understanding of freedom prevails.

I hope more people will be joining, as it's a unique opportunity to build other communities based on the principles Derek has mentioned, which alone might unite us.
