I’m thinking to try both initially, same exact service but point to both names. Monitor traffic, what people start calling it, etc.. But still not sure, we are further out than you..

Kick it up a notch with AwesomeSauce by NostrPlebs, the protocol condiment.

I get that the plebs thing is a cool self-deprecating thing or re-ownership of meaning from the Bitcoin sphere and it has deep meaning referring to history of currency etc but new Nostr users may not want to associate themselves with the term.

So I would avoid plebs or plebeians just for more widespread adoption.

I find services that value branding too much, seem desperate to me and it tells me that they think that the service needs the branding and isn't good enough by itself. That said, classy and decent branding is justified if the service is good.

IMO, Nostrplebs : Awesome sounds good. If a new one is correlated then under the old good thing is not a bad idea.

Continue the branding!!! Stronger!!!

It gives a sense of continuity and legitimacy, because it’s a product from an existing and successful entity

Keep it under Nostr as an additional feature.

Regardless of what you decide I want to use. 🤙

New name different brand

I really like the idea of being able to go to nostrplebs and find everything you offer right there. It's hard enough already to keep track of every new Nostr creation and/or experiment.

When I joined, I had very little idea that it's a Bitcoiners' community, but I had no doubts that it's all about freedom. Sadly, my confidence in this idea of freedom and Nostr diminishes with each passing day, and today might be the culmination of that uncertainty. Just now, Jack reposted the words: 'I’m not on Nostr for a following. I’m on Nostr for freedom.' I checked the profile of that person on X and learned that it's okay to come to Nostr for freedom, while supporting X with the blue mark and earning money from it. I doubt Jack is not aware of that. It's a relief to see that not all key figures of Nostr have blue checkmarks, though.

So, to answer your questions, whatever path you will take, please, don't build it on hypocrisy. If it's not killing it already, it will start eventually, unless I am still clueless about what Nostr is.

From a branding PoV, starting with with the first options seems to be it for me.
