I was at The Ellipse on J6 for Trump’s speech. We had driven down the day before. After the speech we just decided to try and beat the traffic and head back on our 9 hour return drive home. So I did not go to the capital. I’ve often thought about how fateful that decision was these last 4 years…I’ve felt absolutely sick for the innocents caught up in this tyrannical travesty. Maybe it’s a bit of “survivor’s guilt??

I wish Trump would not have done a shitcoin. And I too, have no interest in buying something to try and make a profit off “the greater fool”. It’s just so predatory to me.
That said - I didn’t vote for Trump because I thought he wouldn’t make a bad move or two. I voted for him to try and bring some sanity to America. The far left has gone insane here.
Bitcoin fixes a lot, it does not fix everything. As unpleasant as it is, politicians have too much power. Therefore it’s in our best interest to try to get the best - or the least worst - in office. I do have an optimistic feeling of what good might be accomplished in the next 2 years. (And that’s all we have for sure. maybe the republicans hold the midterms - but maybe they don’t)
I’m old enough to know I could be quite disappointed, but I also know - the alternative was beyond the pale...

I do agree that if more people would have had balls and stood up in America during the covid tyranny bullshit it would have ended overnight. BUT - far too few do stand up. Tyranny should be attacked on all fronts, and that includes getting in good politicians - or at least - boxing out bad ones.

The world is much better (for now - as the saying goes: always be prepared to slay your heroes) that a Bukele rose to power. Soon to be very rich, and thus powerful Bitcoiners need to step up.

Homeschooled our son the first 2 years. Wish we would have done it a lot longer. Then I took him out about 30 days a year - until 9th grade (friends, sports, girls). We went everywhere. To our pizzerias, to real estate deals, just driving around, goofing off on our property.
You never get those years back. He built a great foundation to work from. Got into USC (which I would never let happen again - but that’s a different discussion) so I guess we did ok…
If anyone out there is on the fence - know this - you can do no worse than the government school. It remains one of the best decisions we ever made in our lives.
