This is why we need to support our creators ⚡️⚡️⚡️
You’re advocating for people to leave the apple ecosystem right now for something open. I’m saying we should continue to focus on ways to subvert their censorship. There are a ton of apple users, telling everyone to smash their phones, buy a pixel, load Graphene is not gonna happen in any significant numbers.
You’re part of a fraction of a percent of bitcoiners who understand Nostr. And bitcoiners make up a fraction of a percent of the general population. There will be plenty more bad actors in the “then they fight you” stage besides Apple. Arguing that everyone should just give up an ecosystem that they have invested time and money into, and that they have an emotional attachement with is a losing strategy. Yes, those who understand bitcoin and Nostr, and the importance of freedom tech in general get it. But being rude, and telling people they are being sheep is not going to help onboard the average person using an iPhone, or a Googled android device. Look at the big picture… the android vs apple trope is old and tired. Stay classy, Nostr.
Another incredibly insightful post from nostr:npub1g3827ewz6d23rlgdhkaslc78gyule52ymcqdyt2hsxdwtlw8dt5q7dfpvg
The reality of the situation is that a significant proportion of mobile users on Nostr are on iOS. Nostr has grown as a result of Damus more than any other client.
Is it more feasible to get all of those users who are locked into apple (for the short term at least) to switch their entire OS? Or is it more powerful to continue to build out tools that support freedom of communication and freedom money, bypassing arbitrary restrictions and censorship from the biggest tech company in the world. I think we do both, but in the short term the latter will have more of an impact.
You may hate Apple, but switching to a device made by Google and side-loading an open OS will not take them down. Every Nostrich could smash their iPhone tomorrow, and they wouldn’t give a fuck.
The only way to spotlight their hypocrisy is to continue to undermine and subvert their censorship and show the world the power of open-source, decentralized protocols.
If we can’t take it violently out of the hands of big tech, all we can do is by some sly or roundabout way introduce something they can’t stop.
Super bullish on those continuing to build on iOS, and to those sly devs taking Hayek’s approach here. 💜

I agree with this. I’ve never been a huge vitamin guy, but mostly because I get reflux from them. I think a balanced diet, avoiding sugar and alcohol, and daily exercise have a much more significant impact. My wife, also a physician is a big proponent of vitamins and is always trying to get me to take some.
A few of my colleagues have recommended Outlive by Peter Attia and I actually just ordered it the other day. Not sure what his exact stance is on vitamins, but when I find out I’ll share with you 🤙
Our goal is not to become “grinding influencers”. We love the protocol and its potential, and we think it’s important to showcase all the hard work everyone puts into making this successful. That’s been my goal from day 1, and while I can’t speak for everyone, we share the same mission and values.
For sure, Nostr Report takes a lot of hard work and dedication, but it’s a labor of love. Please don’t conflate producing interesting content that attempts to help people grasp the #Nostr ecosystem with superficial attempts at gaining influencooor status.
There are 6 of us working on this for a reason - it allows us to prioritize our family life, our fiat jobs, and our love for Bitcoin and Nostr. We are all well-rounded, “whole” people, otherwise this would not have lasted for as long as it has. Keep up the incredible work with Coracle, in another lifetime, I would have loved to be a developer. But for now, I’m doing my best to provide as much value as possible in my own way. 🤙
Two things:
1. Test new features like this internally and with users who are aware there may still be issues, seems like this one wasn’t ready for launch. The bc1 format has been around for a long time and there’s no way nostr:npub1du8vg3lqmfddfwdr52h08etty3speg45dttmyvup6x2pqq5jxf6qdhu524 could have known this was just rolled out.
2. Make #nostr an integrated part of your customer support system. It should be easy enough to do. I imagine a large percentage of your user base is now here.
WoS is an OG player in Lightning wallets and lately there’s been a number of concerns raised about its reliability and future, especially as the push for KYC has been heating up around the world. I’m sure many people would like to see you address this more publicly as your services are heavily relied on around the world, both for easy onboarding into Lightning, and by unbanked communities.
I’d also like to see you either release or recommend a separate self-custody solution so users who keep a significant amount of sats on WoS better understand the differences and learn how to send their balances to their own keys.

nostr:npub107jk7htfv243u0x5ynn43scq9wrxtaasmrwwa8lfu2ydwag6cx2quqncxg quoting notes in the articles only uses 1/3 of the width of the screen. would be amazing if it got adjusted for better readibility 💜
Also, while writing the post would be nice to have the option to just link to a noteID, and not have Habla render the noteid as a quote (or truncate notes so that it doesn’t render the entire thing).
A huge shoutout to nostr:npub107jk7htfv243u0x5ynn43scq9wrxtaasmrwwa8lfu2ydwag6cx2quqncxg and nostr:npub1r0rs5q2gk0e3dk3nlc7gnu378ec6cnlenqp8a3cjhyzu6f8k5sgs4sq9ac for the awesome changes on Habla.News to make it a gorgeous, feature packed, intuitive long-form client 🤩
