I don’t know much about wine and would love some input from you guys on the year (2004) and if it would be smart to hold on to it for any longer? https://www.diningandcooking.com/865203/i-dont-know-much-about-wine-and-would-love-some-input-from-you-guys-on-the-year-2004-and-if-it-would-be-smart-to-hold-on-to-it-for-any-longer/

nostr:npub1gl8xasfx24cj76n706pnqm5zp9arealxa0ngmtwklla5lceuqneqp7q5y9 I would say it'll be drinking now (not that I've had the pleasure!). 2004 was a light, fresh vintage, not for the long haul.

That said this is a 1st growth Pauillac, so I'm sure if you want to wait, it can do another 10-20 years with ease.

Dumb question… Should I decant this first tomorrow for a few hours? https://www.diningandcooking.com/864634/dumb-question-should-i-decant-this-first-tomorrow-for-a-few-hours/

nostr:npub1gl8xasfx24cj76n706pnqm5zp9arealxa0ngmtwklla5lceuqneqp7q5y9 I'd say definitely not. That is OLD for Burgundy and it will likely be on the delicate and fragile side.

Decanting might just hasten its demise.
