My faith has grown substantially over the last few years and recently I have too been thinking about what it means to truly trust in God.

Like I think about the parable of the drowning man (two boats and a helicopter) and I want to have faith, but also choose to accept God's help.

What I've come to lately is to try to unburden myself with everything that is outside my control and turn those things over to God. Really trying to let go of fear and anxiety over things I cannot personally fix with my actions.

For things that I can change alone, with just my actions, for those things I pray for guidance and I try (and mostly fail) to make choices and decisions that God would proud of. Like choosing to accept help or choosing to offer help to others, even when it may be a difficult situation.

I also know that I don't know, and no person REALLY knows, the right thing to do in every single situation, ONLY God knows, so it's important to try and listen to Him. But listening can be hard in a world filled with sin and evil. I will always be a sinner, so it's important that I humble myself in the eyes of God, always.
