It’s true

The current price for some bitcoin is about $36.5k, since the price is set around the margins. That price is liquidity constrained. If someone wants to buy a lot at once, it'll be at a higher price.

Unless someone can hack or break the network, the price for any of *my* bitcoin starts in the six figures, and even then only slowly in small fractions, depending on what else is happening and what else I can buy. And a lot of people are like that, probably two-thirds of bitcoin hodlers.

Bitcoin is my preferred money. In order to make me part with some of my money, I need to see something I want/need to consume or an investment security that I expect to outperform my money on a risk-adjusted basis. That's not an easy hurdle.

I am getting close to giving a more detailed assessment on Israel/Hamas, as it drags on.

And it will probably be Nostr-only since other platforms can’t handle it. It is too polarized. Everyone is tunnel-visioned.

My husband is currently in Cairo dealing with some property work we are doing for our extended family. They are only 250 miles from the problem, and Egypt’s acute currency crisis brings it closer to home if military or refugee shit hits the fan. Most of my extended family is geopolitically or financially close to the Israel/Gaza issue and is Muslim. I am thus both close and far from the issue. And I grew up in the US in a diverse region with Jewish and Muslim peers, but more-so Jewish overall.

Suffice to say, I don’t want civilians on either side to suffer or die. I am pro-humanity first and foremost.

Before I give my eventual analysis, I am happy to see Nostr comments on the issue. What are your thoughts and questions on the topic? What would you like to see addressed from a diverse or as non-biased source as possible?

I’ve made it 36 years so far, and somehow never had this happen to me. And yet it’s like all over my social media timeline as though it happens to people every day.

HaHa. We would have fun at a party. Maybe fun pushing each others buttons but we would have fun. Life is to short to not find the humor in it all. I respect you Peter. Your heart is in the right place. Keep up the good work.

Grateful for your responses to my post from last night. I’m learning a few things:

- Israel-Palestine is super complex and understandably a sensitive topic

- Social media is not a good platform for me to share short burst ideas about complicated matters like this

Two things I would like to clarify:

- I wasn’t trying to justify Israeli government policy or military actions.

- I have a lot of empathy for suffering on the Muslim side of this conflict, too.
