I created a NWC string in Coinos and I was trying to see if I could receive using bullish@zeuspay.com.

Yeah let me know how to use it correctly since there’s two locations where a NWC string can be input. What’s the difference between wallet configuration and the service feature?

Either way, seems a like UX improvement could be not allowing the user to switch to NWC Lightning address mode if they’re using an embedded node. Or maybe I’m not understanding it correctly yet.

No, it doesn’t have to be connected as a remote connection first.

What wallet are you connecting it to? We’re saying that if you’re inputing the NWC string from the new NWC service feature, it won’t work.

NWC Lightning address mode is for remote connections.

For the embedded node you either want Zaplocker or Cashu mode.

1) Make sure your channels have enough capacity to cover the channel reserve and the payment you’re trying to make + fees

2) Run down the four troubleshooting items under Menu > Embedded node > Troubleshooting and try again

i did a quick test with a fee limit of 2800 and i dit rebalance with 3700. Is the fee limit not fix? Could you explain that? I only used a small test amount…

Nope. Best to use clboss or lnd-g for that: software that is running all the time.

Was concerned about connecting my embedded LND to it.

Then I realised there's Cashu. The wallet has an explicit option to restrict NWC connections to your Cashu wallet alone.

No, that wouldn’t be a good experience as you’d need your friend to have their ZEUS app open when you want to make payments.

However, you can manually make the wallet do the sync and reset the graph when you're making payments to increase success probability.

The first option is to turn auto EGS at startup on and off.

The second option is to do it manually.

This is for people who want to open the wallet for other things than lightning payments like fetching wallet history, checking balance, managing channels, making on-chain payments, etc. but don't want to wait for long every single time.

On the keypad view hit the Self-custody button to toggle into Ecash mode, then hit Send.

Or on the balances view, swipe or tap the Ecash row and hit Send Ecash.
