Primal Android beta launched. Immediately downloaded.

Thought I'll be useful and gave a couple of feedback notes by replying to the announcement note.

Miljan zapped 1.4k sats for each of them. Now I want to give more productive feedback. (Typical Indian behaviour what to do)

You're a product manager.

You put out a release.

Feedback you get is mostly complaints. You want more people to stress-test the app and debug.

Instead of begging people with repetitive posts and requests for feedback, you simply announce a zapathon.

GG's

Now imagine if there's an app like Strike, Bringin, Pouch, Coincorner, Osmo or Bitnob in India.

Even with the 30% tax.

Send sats to a zapathon participant and he receives Rupees directly to his bank account, immediately.

Take Purchasing Power Parity into account.

It's access to a cheap market with ridiculously cheap internet that will give you product feedback for very little in terms of your currency, but a considerable amount in theirs.

BuT StAbLeCoInS. BuT PrIvAcY.

Man shut the fuck up.

This happened with one of the previous versions for me. App kept crashing without opening.

I tried clearing the cache and my problem was solved.

Posting this from Primal Android beta

Yellow only had 150 people seeing the post on Nostr (according to my client) vs 76.1k people on Twitter

His Nostr audience have paid him a total of 10,000 sats (₹250).

Nostr: 66 sats (₹1.7) per view.

Twitter: 0 sats (₹0) per view.

A few notes about two things

1. Nostr x LN

2. Nostr's resistance to censorship

1. Examining the possibilies of Nostr x LN:

Nostr can create an online economy for storage and bandwidth priced in Bitcoin. Relays need to collect fees to be sustainable. If they do it via LN, they start pricing server maintenance costs in Bitcoin.

Ads are inevitable if the network grows in size. But this is a good alternative. It's an open protocol so noone is stopping people from jumping ship to another client if they get annoyed with ads.

The option to switch relays and have a lot of customisation in terms of relay connections for users is very crucial.

2. Nostr being censorhip-resistant:

If LN can improve privacy and privacy of the Bitcoin network improves as well with BIP324, nostr can be a good alternative communication tool in places with autocratic regimes.

I don't know if relays are that private.

I don't know if you could detect relays using deep packet inspection. But ISP-level censorship is something both Bitcoin and Nostr will have to contend with.

So I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a new book in preparation for a podcast we’ll be recording, and all I can say is get ready people! My god get ready...

If you can’t understand the value prop of Bitcoin after reading this book, you’ll never get it. The best part, she doesn’t even discuss bitcoin until chapter 20. 🤣

Mark my words, it’ll be a landmark classic that generations will reference. It's insanely thorough but also very accessible considering the complexity of the material that’s covered.

I think she plans to have it punished very soon (within a month or two), so watch-out for it! It’s the ultimate orange pilling device for people that are intellectually curious.
