You lose the sense of community when there's a huge group of people. A couple of people are assholes and it perpetuates the feeling that everyone is.
I live somewhere relatively rural and noticed a huge change in people's attitudes to me when I moved there compared to even a large town.
I reckon I have the time to post more on Fridays. I've done all my work for the week, am still "at the keyboard" and have time to spend on personal projects.
Weekends I'm afk. Other weekdays I'm around to check in but usually busy.
I'm on here and Mastodon. I know Mastodon isn't popular with Nostr "maxis" because instance runners have control, but I still like the Fediverse model for certain use cases.
I've seen Masto instances with this kind of atmosphere hit their "eternal September" and go through a huge culture shift when they got an influx of Twitter refugees. The good thing about the Fedi model vs Twitter is that if that happens on one instance it's easy enough to jump ship to another.
I fully expect the same eternal September to happen on Nostr :( however, by then I would hope we will have a mature ecosystem of paid relays, maybe even a bunch of niche/subject specific relays to make it easy for people to curate their feeds. Basically, choosing a relay is like choosing what pub to go to. Too many morons at the cheap Wetherspoons near the train station? Walk out and go to the little craft beer place down the alley instead :)
Anyone got any recommendations for a decent Nostr client for PostmarketOS?
Not browser based... my OnePlus can run browser stuff fine but the PinePhone lags too much with that.
If there isn't anything, I might try to build something. My UX skills kinda suck though 😭

I'm using Slice... it pays you in Sats to see ads on certain pages (e.g YouTube and Google). You can still run uBlock Origin or whatever to block all other adds. You'll just see the banners that you're being paid in Sats to see.

That sounds like a fun experiment for an idle server. I know the LBC "puzzle keys" got solved but people at least knew what address spaces to look in for those so it doesn't really count.
People still run the large bitcoin collider hoping to find key collisions haha.

How do you have your nginx set up please?
I think I did everything right and my relay works. LNBits works, but when I go to my relay /invoices, it's throwing a 404. I assume my certbot configuration is somehow breaking it?
Has anyone got nostream working with lnbits? I have my relay running, trying to get lnbits integration set up but the invoices page isn't showing.
