I believe paid relays are going to be echo chambers of people that just want to hear what they’re talking about. I’m not sure if I’d want to pay for something I might not want to see.

These people who wake up and spend their day spewing hate severely lack social skills. It’s so boring and unoriginal to just insult people to appeal to incels.

Maybe one of the reasons it feels so different here is that the people most attracted to a decentralized network like Nostr (and Bitcoin) are genuinely more curious and open, because they had to do the work to understand what centralization leads to.
