There's a guy on YouTube called Blacktail Studios who makes tables, mostly using wood & resin. Watched one of his videos the other day where he charged $35k for 2 slabs of wood with black resin down the middle, the base was just steel and being fabricated by someone else, to be fair to the guy he admitted he didn't really want the job (short notice etc) so priced it high, but $35k? There's no doubt the guy is experienced in what he does and is meticulous with his work; the sanding, finishing etc.
But $35k for $2.8k's worth of wood slabs (don't know the species but that's what he paid) and some resin. Not sure I'm a fan of those resin tables tbh, look at the craftsmanship and materials used in an antique you could buy for that kind of money...
