Crazy story on why you shouldn't let your boyfriend/girlfriend live inside your house you own and purchased. So one my debtors is in a massive hole. We were exploring her options on what to do with account. She owns a house so we suggested doing a reverse mortgage or getting a loan against her property... she wasn't able to do that because of the following....
She was married to some guy for over 60 years. He died like 10 years ago and left the house to her. Wonderful right? Few months after he passed away she started dating and dated a guy for 2 years.
After 2 years, they broke up and he filed a civil lawsuit to take half her house because they were considered common law. Well litigation continued for about a year and the man who filed the lawsuite died of old age.. but the lawsuit didn't go away because now the guy's kids have taken over the lawsuit and trying to steal 50% of this 80 year old woman's house all because she let him live there 2 years rent free.
Moral of the story. Buy bitcoin.
