Visiting a village in Malawi that now has electricity because of Gridless and #Bitcoin mining was such an incredible experience.

In Malawi, the median salary is $2.00 per day and in the village we visited, it’s closer to $1.00. Worse, Malawi just had a currency debasement of 44% 3 weeks ago.

It touched my soul to meet and spend time with these amazing people, to see the laughter of the children, and to hear how #Bitcoin is changing their lives.

I would say good luck to anyone who thinks that #Bitcoin can be stopped. Because they are fighting a redistribution of power away from manipulation and exploitation of people back to them and to the free market.

As difficult as it might be sometimes, it's generally important to remember that most normies are just people who have (often from very young ages) been punished for thinking or questioning things & rewarded for regurgitating whatever nonsense was spouted by the authority figures in their lives.

It seems like so many people who talk about off grid want to be offgrid inflooencers.

That greatly affects how they talk to people. If you have ever encountered an old friend who recently got into multi-level marketing, you know what I am talking about. You are no longer their friend. You are a money making opportunity. I didnt move off the grid to be famous. lol. I did it to remove as much of the establishment system's influence from my life as I possibly could.

There are ways of thinking, in my opinion which are early indicators of someone who will succeed at it. One of them is thinking, "this will probably suck, but the freedom is worth it."

You have never experienced "suck" until youve had multiple system failures in a snow storm.

There is no lineman getting paid overtime hours who will turn your power back on bitches. Get out there and fix it.

But then there are also those days when you hear from someone that there was a serious region wide power outage. Which you would never have noticed without being told.

I keep pondering how to share some of this experience I am gaining, but I keep bumping up against my distaste for inflooencer culture. Which is probably something I should just get over, and all things, good and bad, pass through culture from influence of some kind. I can feel that some of this experience is worth its weight in bitcoin, and it would be a shame to just keep it all to myself. I will probably start small, and if you like it, super. if you dont, go suck a toad.

i shit you not, i popped over to bitcoin twitter the other day to see if they were freaking out about the current bitcoin price action and i saw a few people discussing nostr and how they hated nostr, because everyone was so nice here. they said they hated the positivity and the Kumbaya feeling. some people are so used to fighting one another that they have forgotten that it's okay to be nice and friendly humans too.

Does anybody see this note? My Amethyst only shows me the notes of about 20 profiles and while following 2000+ people I see only 10 random notes per hour. My feed is empty and I don't know why, I didn't touch my relays or logged in anywhere else 🤷‍♂️ it's been like this for a couple of days and doesn't seem to fix itself. Does anyone know why that is?

I have a goal of learning to be able to play some tunes on a piano / keyboard. I get into these zones where I work on it for a few days but inevitably it stops. Not beating myself up about it, life happens.. but does anyone have suggested tools or personal success stories when it comes to self-teaching how to play a musical instrument ? My end goal is really to be able to play simple tunes or say...to hear like a tune or little thing while playing a game and be able to replicate it.
