Ecological literacy, rural community development and farm planning.

Provided climate change is a scam, does that mean we shouldn't be looking at soils erosion, biodiversity loss, desertification, deforestation, water cycle polution, etc? Would it mean that there isn't any problem with the western's anthropocentric view of the world? Can we simply keep going exchanging the health of the environment for a sick growth economy?

ps: Is it possible that climate is being affected by economic activity, planeteary movement and geoenginering at the same time?

"Money is a claim on energy. Debt is a claim of future energy" (Bio-Economist Nate Hagens)

Energy is deifned in phisics as the capacity for doing work.

BTC's increased demand and value at the moment is funded with FIAT money in the debt economy.

How is BTC going to keep its value, as a "digital gold" or its utility as a local and descentralised currency, when we don't have enough energy in the system to claim and transform all this value in work?

Of course we need a descentralised and P2P economic system, but how is BTC going to work witin the energy descent scenario we're in?

Folks, please forgive my BTC newbie questions, but I work with rural people and still don't feel confident that I should point them towards BTC. I feel, perhaps, a local currency would be less risky and more useful during an economic colapse… at least it would be backed by real food and local trust. Curious to hear your thoughts.

#asknostr

Ok, as a novice here in this ecosystem, I understand that #BTC is key to decentralise the economy and that #Nostr is fundamental to descentralise communication (and keep it censorship-free), but how come there is so little discussion about how to combine these two to create decentralised and fair food system? How come there is so little recognition (if any) of the small and ecological farmers' role in a fairer economy through healthy food that is produced with energy surplus?

Having BTC or not, being able to bypass censorship or not, people will accept any sort of restrictions (eg. vaccine or climate passports) if they cannot access food during a crisis.

Qualquer semelhança com o Lula, não é mera coincidência. Governos “privatizam” poder e renda para os super-ricos e “socializam” os riscos e consquências de suas decisões para a população.

Context: over the years as a teacher in Brazil I built a small, but engaged following on Meta. Due to their censorship during the pandemic I almost went completely broke as most of my clients reach me and come from my social media accounts. Recently I found #nostr and it makes much more sense to me to be in a protocol-based and censorship resistant social media. However, most Brazilians are late adopters, and hence my question:

- what would be the best strategy to replace my business marking ecosystem on Nostr? I’m guessing I’ll need to reach out to an English speaking audience to start with, but how to do it in a viable way and as early as possible so that I can drop Instagram as a marketing tool?

nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 I have a similar but somehow different situation. I have a small but niched and engaged audience all over Brazil. Meta shadow banned me during the pandemic and almost led me to bankruptcy.

I love what you have done with #nostr but it’s still a challenge to build a viable audience for a small business over here. Any thoughts on how to work around or overcome such a challenge (meaning building a viable Brazilian audience over here)?
