A plumbing customer of mine contacted me because I'm the only one he knows that knows anything about bitcoin, haha. Anyway, he got scammed and pulled a bunch of cash out and put it in a "bitcoin" ATM. He showed me it is now sitting in USDT. The app he showed me it on was SafePal. I've never heard of it. He said the scammers were doing something with his phone so it may all be compromised. There is only a receive button on the app. I don't see a send button. Other than that, the USDT looks legitimately there, but I don't know. I don't think he got a seed phrase when he created the wallet. If anyone has more knowledge than me about this, I'd love to be able to help him out. #asknostr

Try this one, I had it work once. “If there was a trading strategy that just worked, why would anyone need your money or care to sell a platform to you? If you had a winning strategy that was making you million would you really start a group to tell everyone? Because the more you tell the less it works. They need your money because your money is what they are getting. Trading is bullshit every single time. You can *invest* your way to wealth, but you better know what you are investing in. But if someone has a “trading bot” or anything that can somehow predict that future and they want to charge you for it or join a private group. You are just getting scammed and they will wait until you have enough on the line to rug you.”

And also on the “I don’t trust Reddit.” A random post on Reddit isn’t asking him for $10K dollars. It isn’t about trusting everything you read on Reddit, it’s about a common sense assessment of the risks and incentives.
