I guess I'm one of those #vtubers. Having fun talking about general topics, vrchat/similar, and games. Also #indiedev #gamedev. You can call me: Freak فْرِيكٌ フリク (still learning Nihongo). #envtuber #podcast #gaming #gamedev

For me as a dev I open up each component and look/grab the styles from there + alt-measure distances in regards to paddings/margins.

Though as a designer I don't use Figma. I straight up write the html/css/js(noob js code) myself then give it to devs.

(This way, I get exactly what I want actually/directly, and the devs properly get the components correctly/directly).

Big sonic booms are annoying (and wow, can do pretty decent damage).

But hey, better than bombs/missiles.

I'm not only pissed off with how game mod creators and enjoyers are being treated, there's more I'm pissed off at that I want to create solutions for, but I have to be patient with doing one at a time, prove the first's success in development to release, and marketing it well enough, then start with the next.

Man... if I had money now to get some oranges. Shame x3

Played this recently released demo.

Buying it day 1.

I've been playing Zenless Zone Zero since launch.

I've finished the current story at around level 40 (max level is 60 i think).

My thoughts:

This is the best designed game in whatever genre combo its in.

The UI, the characters, the world, the story, the sfx/vfx, the art style, animations, gameplay, etc, is very solid and has more of a soul/character than any other anime-style f2p game out there (and pretty high up there in terms of premium games, like I think in terms of presentation, its equal to Persona, though the music in persona is better I think).

For what it is, its one of the best out there.

It's a F2P game where I'll be spending money on it, and I haven't spent money on a F2P game in a looong while.

(I would have spent money on The Finals, its a great game, but shit models / woke designed character models).

Best character: Koleda Belobog

Thanks for the push and value-in!

Value-out should be coming with nostr:npub17jl3ldd6305rnacvwvchx03snauqsg4nz8mruq0emj9thdpglr2sst825x 's MVP release soon. Not sure how soon, but I guesstimate it'll go live around the end of August, and if there are delays, then around the end of September.

(Merlin is MVP =3)

Followed btw. Perhaps I'll share later the slightly funny reason why I didn't before x3

No, my avatar or where I'm recording isn't from/in Koikatsu xD

(it's from/in VRChat.)

While not the same, but similar in some strong desires:

People run Nostr relays as people run Bitcoin nodes.

Running cost of running a relay:

- Hardware

- Bandwidth

- Management

- Moderation

The last one seems like the biggest problem considering the quoted example.

Unless you have the funds to hire a team to do this and develop systems to help detect and mark them for deletion, the current manageable solution, for an individual running a relay, is to only moderate medium to highly reported posts.

Is this the ideal solution? Probably not.

It is the most reasonable one though.

As a user, I don't expect the behavior/work of what's being quoted. Thankful, but I'd never put such a heavy expectation on relay/server operators.

Shitty user: "Why haven't you deleted these posts yet?"

Operator: "Did you report it?"

Shitty user: "No"

Operator: "Did you tell your friends, family, followers to report it?"

Shitty user: "No"

Operator: "Then how do you expect me to know about it?"

Shitty user: "Spend time reviewing these posts and/or hire a team to do it!"

Operator: "Are you willing to help cover the costs, and ask your network to help too?"

Shitty user: "No"

Operator: "Then you should not expect me to do the impossible. If I see them, I'll delete them. Otherwise, even if all of your answers are yes, it'll still take time to get to them, and a few will slip through the cracks. We do what we reasonably can."

Shitty user: "That's not good enough."

Operator: "..."

Digimon is better than Pokemon.

Here's proof.

I just recalled a meeting where at some point a in-dev tool was being tested on a stream, and it was trying to connect to a Bloom server, but it wasn't working, then everyone's thoughts went "BLOOM ISN"T BLOOMING!" x3

Fuck...

Seems like I need to get a new phone.

Current one fell which resulted in the phone, most of the time, not being touch-responsive, and while attempting to get a window of getting it to be responsive => boot loop =/

For me and you, its not, for mom and dad, it is.

There's still the management of it:

- for each service you want to use, you have to make a new account

- for each new account you make, you have to add it to your vault

- there's more steps somewhere that i think think of off the top of my head at the moment most likely

Replying to Avatar Keychat

The current version of Keychat uses a seed phrase instead of nsec. This has caused a lot of controversy, with many people believing that Keychat does not understand the spirit of Nostr: having a single Nostr ID that is universally used across all Nostr apps.

In fact, the first version of Keychat used nsec. Later, we intentionally switched to seed phrases. Why?

Just like when we use Bitcoin wallets, we now more often use seed phrases rather than private keys. Using a seed phrase is an improvement in user experience. Moreover, NIP-6 defines the basic key derivation from mnemonic seed phrases. A single seed phrase can derive countless Nostr IDs.

Using a single Nostr ID across various Nostr apps focused on public notes is reasonable because users are sending public messages, and they can better accumulate reputation.

However, for Nostr apps focused on private notes, users should use multiple IDs to achieve better privacy. For example, you could use ID1 for close friends and ID2 for work colleagues. Current chat applications provided by internet giants do not encourage users to use multiple IDs simultaneously because multiple IDs affect data mining, reducing the accuracy of user profiling and, consequently, advertising revenue. In this context, using only one ID is a bug, not a feature.

If you use your Damus ID to chat with others on a Nostr app that focuses on private messaging, do you want all those people to see the public notes you have posted?

A seed phrase that is universally applicable to all Nostr apps allows users to choose which ID to use in a particular app, with the ID generated from the seed phrase. This is far better than using a single Nostr ID across all Nostr apps.

Don't forget, there are not only Nostr apps focused on public notes but also those focused on private notes.

A reasonable chat app allows users to use multiple IDs simultaneously, whereas a microblogging app’s DM often has only one ID. This is just one of the differences between the two. When we say, "Designing a DM for a microblogging app is not the same as designing a chat app," we are not playing with words; we are not that bored.

Controversy? Really? I'd imagine this was the obvious move forward.

Dunno where he is, but this is easy to get it in a decentralized way, depending on where u are i guess.

In Lebanon is the same process almost as you described, BTC to USDT via DEX, then USDT to credit via any available non-kyc P2P service, or check out local exchange chat groups for a physical p2p (credit or cash), or visit a normal currency exchange store that supports crypto.

I think its the same in turkey.
