in most cases it is just a bad search engine. The abstraction added on top makes difficult to verify the sources of the knowledge and manage dissidious around subjects.

hate gitlab, it have all the problems of github + the worst ux I ever experienced.
Time is your scarcest resource.
If time could be saved perfectly, no money would be needed.
Money is the trick human found to save time in an environment governed by thermodinamic's laws.
#Bitcoin is an enormous big step in the asynptotic trying of humans to create a perfect way to save time.
Bitcoin is the most advanced saving-time-machine ever invented.
The only technology that could make bitcoin obsolete is not a shitcoin, but a time-travel machine or something else that pushes further the invalidation of thermodinamic's laws.
In a long distant future the web browsers we use today could be replaced by #NOSTR clients.
The website could base his content on notes and we can have a note that communicate stiling and some hierarchy guides that the client then elaborate it in his way. In the end a website function as a graph of links, you can stile and positioning graphically them using common standards.
Javascript complex programs used commonly in modern website could be replaced by new solutions based on #ecash.
Maybe when time will be mature we can elaborate NIPs to make #web69420 happens 🫡
Oh god this nonsense is 2° on hackernews this is the last time I will check news on that commie website

They are very elusive about digitally signing their releases, only with recent updates here: https://github.com/simplex-chat/simplex-chat/issues/3158 that really don't add much.
In theory mobile releases are signed but can't find the signatures, definitely not alongside their binaries. Keys? Oh go find them at openpgp.org. Like where exactly? https://keys.openpgp.org/search?q=simplex yields no results. Also, no reproducible builds.
So, "quantum resistant E2E encryption" but not a single PGP signature?
the problem of these protocols bootstrapped-as-platform like matrix, bluesky or simplex is that if you dont grow from day zero a multi-parties decentralized development you end with a platform owned by a company a bit overly documented.
Dont want to shit on open source work, but I dont like this kind of projects and I'll focus on nostr native PM solutions like nip-17 implementations

You can't "print" Monero. You have to mine it, trade for it, or work for it. Just like Bitcoin.
Gold has constant inflation and is more popular than Bitcoin by far and has been mined for thousands of years.
All the matter is issuance is decentralized, predictable, and requires PoW (fiat money is none of those things)
Crypto will always be around. That cat is out of the bag. There will never only be just one Bitcoin just like there isn't just one precious metal or currency.

you can print infinite monero-like utility tools that try to solve privacy better and they alll will to keep the value.
but if something is money and is scarce will go up forever compared to easily printed money, its an important feature and is the first feature of money (and then bitcoin): preserve wealth across time and space. Monero is a shitcoin and cant do that and it is the first reason it doent have any sense. You can "give" me privately monero but when this crypto bubble will vanish you wouldnt eventually be able to buy anything because monero value, as all easily printed shitcoins, trends to nothing.
