That was an intense battle
itโs trained on inaccurate data and returning wildly inaccurate information on something as simple as known historical facts. They soured their dataset with wokeness and now users canโt trust its basic answers, which means much less adoption in the future if they were willing and able to retrain their model without false woke information. Can you imagine the cost and compute power it took to train that newest Gemini model and itโs all got to go in the trash to retrain and they wonโt recover the public perception.
I am glad they showed their cards now before they could fully be adopted as a truthful source of historical information.
X is still censored and controlled in largely the same way it always was, they are controlled opposition for the truthers. Itโs better than nothing but your message stays in a bubble and can be throttled by the state at any point in time they want to censor. I do think this became true to a certain extent. Each business has its own use case that should be evaluated for on-premises vs hosted but they way the cloud providers are operating they make it so there is no choice.
They donโt train the staff needed to run things locally anymore out of college or in technical training. They are making the hardware and licensing more expensive and tied to more subscription and cloud options. Small to medium sized businesses who want to run an on premises data center have a hard time finding anyone who knows how to manage that infrastructure because tech certifications and newer technologies are all cloud focused.
They donโt make them like us anymore.
