I overcame my fear and did the keyboard replacement π It turns out it was super easy, two screws, two ribbon cables, a bit of wigglewaggle and it was done. I got backlight now! βΊοΈ And a US layout. The French lettering really confused me. π
TL;DR I am impressed by the repairability of this thing so far. #thinkpad #keyboard

Storage was my biggest question mark, too. Torrent sounds like a nice solution as long as seeds are guaranteed (part of the platform then I suppose)
I really would love to rebuild #bandcamp based on #nostr. I have no idea where to start or if it's even possible though π
But I see a lot of opportunity to create a really independent place for artists to share their music and let people buy it via lightning.
If there was a smaller cut than Bandcamp takes (have to look it up lol) and no exclusivity (like artists can use this just as an additional outlet) I think there could be a chance to get some musicians onboarded.
I could invest some time into building a frontend, but I don't know about the backend that would be needed.
Do you know if that even would be possible?
Like a mutation of nostr marketplaces or sth, I don't have a clue. π

I tried that too and it imported everything but didn't give a damn about the folders. Then I googled and found some python scripts to achieve that (so I am not the only one with this problem π). I bailed out at that point though. I wanted to evaluate it as solution for my family and running python scripts ain't it.

My dad is still crying about Picasa, this could onboard him to nostr. Please never build it.
Immich is nice, but it can't set up albums from existing folders. If that gets fixed I will try it again.
