GM ! I’ve been trying Mastodon the last few days.
I’ve used Ivory on iOS as a client, really good and polished.
Great communities on Mastodon focused on privacy, open source, and self hosting. 🇨🇦 is well represented too.
Downsides:
- Mastodon does not support E2E encryption.
- Each server has rules, if not respected you will be banned,so no anti-censorship.
- The admin server can read what you post, there is no such thing as a private message.
Example of a privacy policy :
I’ve read the privacy policy for mastodon.social which is the biggest instance used, they do not sell your data, and keep your IP for 90 days.

A lot of backstories that didn’t exist in the game are in the series, some events were completely changed (How Tess died for exemple), I guess it bothered me. But yeah, they did a decent job with season 1
