Not me. I only slept in the classes I was getting perfect scores on all tests. Which meant the teachers didn’t care what I did as long as I didn’t disturb anyone else. Sadly those classes weren’t the ones I needed to do that good in.

Haven’t taken a vacation vacation other than one three day weekend to the outer banks in over a decade. Closer to two. Just booked an airbnb, rental car and round trip flight to Ausin Texas with plans to road trip out to other places. #Texas here I come.

Damn. When I was at reception right before Basic started I had to get a dozen shots. Guy grabbed a dozen syringes and gave me all of them at once. I don’t remember him selecting the right arm. Might have to sue the army now.

The real reason to not want to use violence to solve the problem. It’s not that government officials whether elected/appointed/just working for the man don’t have it coming. It’s how likely it is to go this way.

Saw the news before work this morning. Went to a dozen or so concerts starting when I was way to young. Old enough for people to hand me alcohol in the parking lot before the concert. My sister to. We were both still in middle school. I was at the concert he played in Charlotte right after Dale Earnhardt died where he played Take Another Road with pictures and videos of Earnhardt on the screens. I still remember the energy of the crowd. One of the most surreal experiences of my life.

One of the most surreal experiences I’ve had was at a Jimmy Buffet concert in Charlotte not long after Dale Earnhardt died. He played this song with pictures and video of Dale on the screen. I can still remember the feeling in the crowd. Hopefully it was a good life all the way.

Haven’t had a drop in going on 15 years. The government needs to mind its own business though. I’ll trust these about like I trust their dietary guidelines.

Hot take: technology is at a point where if we’re going to do this government thing, everything is done by popular vote. Especially if it’s something that’s going to cost a ton of money. No secret ballots. Let everyone know which of their neighbors support extorting their money from them and how much for a given reason. One adult citizen equals one vote? It equals one share of the tax bill for the new program. Program is 100 billion dollars and there 260,837,000 citizens? Add 384 dollars to everyone’s federal income tax bill across the top. No more spending money of people who won’t be born for another couple of centuries. What’s good for the federal government is of course good for the state and local governments as well.

My sister lost all knowledge about building roads when she quit her job as an engineer for the state department of transportation. I’ve also seen my brother in law who works construction forget his knowledge of road building until his company has a government contract again. It really is scary how it happens.

Ah government. Where would we be without our wise and benevolent guides.

I don’t really have the entrepreneurial spirit. Plan a is to stay working here at the plant for another 19 years until I put my 30 in. Barring that well I make it a point of not burning bridges with former employers on the way out. If I have to I could go back to being a rodman on a survey crew. For my sister this time instead of my old man. Inside jobs with climate control done spoilt me though so that’s really a last option.
