Border is terrible because people can fake the border in the image. It has to be something else that people cannot create by themselves.
interesting.. we will fix it

got bogged down creating the Public Chat discovery panel and refactoring the hashtag screen at the same time :(
But it's coming.
I was actually thinking of something like this for a while now. Could we have the clients focused on kind-1 notes fetch kind 30023 events and then if someone replies to such posts on the blogging platform, provide a link to the source instead of displaying the comment as a standalone note? Maybe there’s some other solution? I do understand the decision of some clients to avoid support for long-form posts as that can mess up the UI, but people get confused when they see something that feels like a reply, but can’t figure out what the original note is.
What you think, nostr:npub107jk7htfv243u0x5ynn43scq9wrxtaasmrwwa8lfu2ydwag6cx2quqncxg ? nostr:note13vt26xqjaczvzqvp842d2zffjqute76u6xukr5hl285ef4e7kv4qx63hp0
Ideally, they should use NIP89 to pass that event to an app that can handle it. Each user can then register the apps they use for each event type on https://nostrapp.link/
First community post from Amethyst
Hmmm... anyone have any idea what to make of this?

Does it give any more details than that? If you are using the Play edition version, it's probably the translation AI model download.

Ah damn, it'd be wild if this somehow resolved to something payable on Amethyst (like it does in profile page)

I have no idea what this is. 🤔
Kind1s are overrated

Could you help validate a statement about communities, please?
Since communities can be created on any relay, and notes to that communities can be posted on any relay, it is improbable (if not impossible) to RELIABLY provide a notification service for moderators whenever a new post is created on their community.
I can of course provide a notification service but cannot guarantee the reliability of it due to different relays being involved.
Is my understanding correct?
If you use the relay/relays tag to affirm the preferred relays of the community, every client should post to them and then you can cover most of it.
However, it will never be perfect. Clients can always send things to other places.
Chats also getting a discovery function
How do we stream live on amethyst nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z
We don't have that option yet. But it's coming.. right now use live.snort.social to create the streaming event.
#Amethyst pushes me to unsubscribe from those who broadcast Live broadcasts: when I run Amethyst, if one of those to whom I am subscribed is broadcasting Live broadcasts, the application shows 2 banners that cannot be closed, and which occupy 25-30% of the screen area. Now it is possible to determine who is broadcasting, but there is one way to remove banners - there is one way: to unsubscribe from those personalities. I have to do it... Although it might be possible to make the interface close the broadcast and not see it anymore, but this is not the case. nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z what do you think?
New screen is coming to fix this.
Definitely need NSFW streams to be opt in only. nostr:npub1eaz6dwsnvwkha5sn5puwwyxjgy26uusundrm684lg3vw4ma5c2jsqarcgz nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z
nostr:npub1v0lxxxxutpvrelsksy8cdhgfux9l6a42hsj2qzquu2zk7vc9qnkszrqj49 can you add the "sensitive-content" tag option for creators?
Helping out new users over the last days made me realize that the largest hurdle for new nostriches is building your own feed. Most users expect there to be some sort of out of the box feed (curated by an algorithm).
Currently most clients are not doing much to support users to find new profiles to follow. Hashtags are the only way to find content and profiles, but if you are new, you don't even know the hashtags.
IMHO we need:
- Suggested Hashtags for new users (I've created nostr:npub1ceq89j69ckn52pfngnm2sasf6t5z3j24c5pel5klnhs4e5r7cmlq5l6k9l to spread this information)
- Trending hashtags (for news and current events)
- A way to subscribe to hashtags
- Suggested profiles (not just the top 50, but based on topics).
What are your thoughts on this?

This is an issue in all networks. Even today if you create a new Twitter account or a Facebook account, only random stuff shows up to help people build their feed. We will most likely have Nostr client specifically designed to find contacts, and topics of interest and organize/build lists of things people want to see at once in other clients: chat + hashtags + streams + feed + communities + private groups + workspaces + reels. Every one of these interfaces will have a set of follow lists. There is a lot of work yet to do. :)
