A realization comes to me; enshittification is just another word for shrinkflation.
Check out raspiblitz' backup scripts. It has a few good methods for doing backups. USB is the most common, but I personally really like the nextcloud backup.
Yea, there's a certain sect of "libertarians" that completely lack empathy and don't understand what loss of privacy and freedom actually looks like if it isn't happening to them.
Honestly, I think it's mostly an "online" thing, since the most miserable people are the ones terminally online.
Do any nostriches/bitcoiners go to RSA conf? 🤔
You can connect to me, though I'd *really* recommend a bigger channel. If you empty your channel in 1 or 2 transactions, you've negated both the speed and the cost benefits of lightning and added chain bloat for no reason.

Linux Mint is a very common "first distro", and looks quite similar to Windows. I'd say it's a good one if you don't use your computer for gaming.
If you have an external drive, I'd very much recommend installing Ventoy on it. This will allow you to put a bunch of Linux isos on it and try them out for yourself!
I can't believe some people are still going on about covid. It's over, we're over it. Fuckin move on.
I'll admit, I'm not super well-versed in cashu, but isn't the point that you can just use whatever mint you want? I don't think DNMs would need to run their own infrastructure. Honestly, they probably shouldn't since you can pretty much guarantee everything happening in that mint is illegal activity.
To piggyback on this, fasting.
What do you think it would take for DNMs to accept ecash instead of Monero? 🤔
Hey, Nunchuk wallet is pretty smart! I had a tx stuck for a couple days. Made a new tx today, and it automatically selected the right coins and did a CPFP to get both tx through on the next block. I didn't intend for that to happen at all, but is a happy surprise.
Nova BTM. Don't love that you need to put in a phone number, but it makes sense since you gotta initiate the tx, then walk away and find something else to do to kill the time. I got some Chipotle.
I just used a BTM for the first time cus I needed some physical cash. Not a great experience without lightning. You have to wait around for a confirmation to get cash.. Do people actually use these things?
I do not drive, the bars I go into do not ask for ID. I think it's reasonable to ask for it given certain circumstances, but needing to carry it just for walking around is insanity.
I bet vibe coding gets really interesting for UI dev if you have an IDE designed to display multiple outcomes at once, so you can pick the one that makes the most sense.
Considering I'm mostly working on more complex things than "a web page", though, I think it has limited use for me.
As an American, do I need to carry an ID with me everywhere? That seems insane.
Careful, might get accused of being a commie. 😂
I tried getting a loan when BTC was like $20k cheaper last year, but one of the companies that works in the US doesn't work in my state 😭
