Also, it is now showing I have the proper balance, but if I go into my asset list and try to look at transactions, it tells me I have no pending or passed transactions. Well, then how do I have a balance if it says I have no passed transactions?
I love unstoppable wallet but it just about gave me a heart attack. i swapped a large (to me) amount and it did not show up. I had double checked addresses before swapping and everything was fine. I wiped the unstoppable wallet data and did a full seed restore and it showed up (thankfully).
I would like to point out that Monero has less inflation than gold does and gold has been used as a store of value for thousands of years. Even the World Gold Council says that gold inflates at an average annual rate of about 1.5% per year, where Monero is 0.8% per year and falling asymptotically towards zero. The inflation rate keeps miners mining the chain because they have an incentive to do so and it replaces lost coins through lost private keys.

I have never been on any sort of long-distance train, so I have no idea what that's actually like. I've been on local city, light rail, a lot of times, but never any long distance.
I've found that as long as a trip is less than about 12 hours on a bus, I am perfectly willing to take it. Once it gets above that 12 hour mark, I'm just like, nope, I will fly. I did a 48 hour bus trip one time and never again if I can at all help it.
