The fact you list your prices in Fiat would make me not want to buy them anyway. And the fact that you have to buy them with Bitcoin makes me definitely not want to buy them.
I like winter because I can actually go out and do yard work without sweating my ass off. My property has quite a number of trees, and those trees drop quite a number of leaves and twigs and sticks. And going out and raking all that shit up when it's 100 degrees in July is no fun. Doing it when it's 50 degrees in December isn't bad. I do as little as I can get away with during the summer and do more of it during the winter. I'm also considering getting one of those vests that you can put ice packs in that you wear during the summer to at least prolong the ability to stay outdoors.
I highly doubt somebody with an inflation bug would print just enough Monero for themselves to keep the price completely steady without overdoing it and causing the price to fall sharply.
Your problem is that you're using lightning. Use Monero and that wouldn't be an issue.
This is exactly what everybody should be doing.
But if somebody found an inflation bug, they would be printing themselves more Monero. And so it would be evident in the price.
Inflation bugs definitely are possible. However, there's a lot of work that goes into making sure that does not occur. And at least as of now, we don't seem to have had one because if we did, we would see much higher Monero inflation because somebody with an inflation rate bug is going to print themselves more Monero. And so far, in the 10 years Monero has existed, we've not seen evidence of such.
People always say that the Monero blockchain cannot be audited, but the software can indeed audit the chain. I don't personally know anybody who has ever gone through Bitcoin transaction by transaction to make sure that it all matches either. They depend on the software to do that. So if you can depend on the Bitcoin software to audit the Bitcoin blockchain, then you can depend on the Monero software to audit the Monero blockchain.
Gold has a 1.5% inflation rate according to the World Gold Council. And yet, it's what people think of when they hear store of value. The fact that Monero has a 0.8% inflation rate and falling definitely does not discourage it as a good store of value and investment.
All items in my store have been marked down 0.6%. Next scheduled update on 4/1/2025. #XMRBazaar
Bitcoin and other currencies like it are upskirt chains because they keep nothing private.
I wouldn't buy Bitcoin even if you paid me to. If it's not private by default, it's not worth owning.
I know I will not sell my Monero to Bitcoin holders because I do not want tainted UTXOs, upskirt transactions, or high fees
I dont have a normie phone at all. I use LineageOS only without gapps obviously.
Running DNS with a dynamic IP address is definitely not fun and I would not recommend it. If you want to host a service behind a dynamic IP address, then a hidden service like I did would probably be better.
lets get nostr:npub1j9qyxka5lck4tw50v7qfrs6gdwczz5ydt7ugqy6nhuva9p6dpy5q8rs2yg to integrate tor directly and spell "cake" (31115) as its port so all onions would go to [::1]:31115
yay! I now have my #Monero node accessible through a tor hidden service so i can always use it. For a while, I did have my domain pointing at it, but that's annoying with a dynamic IP address. And so I was using the local network IP, but that obviously did not work when I was away from the house.
being blind and all i wonder how much easier my life would get if i add a filter for "meme" and "memes" since i cant see them anyway.
