Another j/s composter built. Contains straw, rabbit manure, chicken manure, grass clippings, wood chip, kitchen scraps, and even some wild game trim/scraps. Ended up being 60/40 carbon to nitrogen

Green tomato, onion, garlic, Serrano pepper, jalapeno pepper, lime zest. Then did 3 different salt ratios for a lacto fermentation. 1.5, 2.0, and 2.5%.

Depends on the sealer. I have very large commercial ones that would have no problems with where the meat is positioned nor of there is fat or liquid where the heating element seals. But for the average home user, you are very correct.
#asknostr question for the #alcohol makers: I've got a gallon of #elderberry #mead a month in to the primary ferment. It's a raw honey mead with no commercial yeast, it's still bubbling pretty well. I was planning to rack after a month (sometime this weekend) I'm second guessing that plan since it's still bubbling at a decent rate. Should I wait for bubbling to stop? Rack into a second airlocked vessel?
