Freedom, Bitcoin, finance, Government, taxes, I DON'T WANT TO BE ZAPPED !

I don't understand Bitcoin, but here is a fix.....

Dear Ledger:

What support is needed for the Nano S ?

Electrum supports the Nano S perfect solution.

Why is an upgrade needed is the Nano S not safe ? 🤯

Do all new devices support seed backup by default ? (is the fact you need to enable ( do we still need to?) it, fine for you?)

So the HW can export the seed !

( they once claimed for older devices "the seed never leaves the device" 😇)

So many choices...

Like wallets that don't have a seed backup service...

Just remember that 1% is roughly 1 month of inflation....

So if this is making you doubt for more than a month to DUMP you fiat, you are making a mistake.

Choose one that works and is trustworthy.

Start protecting your wealth !

#Bitcoin

Take this point to a Monero discussion, and hit a wall.....

That is the problem if you take that privacy matter to an extreme and make it your biggest selling point...

I have tried so many times but gave up.

Even the most basic discussion "you can't properly use absolute private money in current government regulated markets" without adding features that effectively make it resemble bitcoin 😇, is not possible.

Ok, have fun with your prefered solution and find out 🤷‍♂️

I love the word "shelter".

Simply because it goes straight to the hart of the matter.

A house is a shelter !

Add luxury, fine.

Spend what you can, fine.

But going into debt for it be carefull !

Use it as saving account, and many will get hurt.

Because using it as saving account is absurd and abuse.

We are forced to do so since fiat is not working as store of value.

But housing will prove to be even worse..

A house is a liability, takes maintenance, can't be trusted to be liquidated quickly, can't be moved.

Next most modern houses, so most by far, won't last a 100 years, but who takes that into account and is depreciating its value property, I know at this time both sellers and buyers don't...

As soon as it becomes clear we have sound money again, that is a way better SOV, and goes by the name #Bitcoin, the housing marked will start to change.

It will take time because the disturbance has hold on for so long.

Many failed 'want to be' house owners will buy up the first waves of houses that hit the market.

But the new, old, reality will set in.

Housing is not a saving account.

And most added value but especially imagined value (at this moment real value don't get me wrong) will escape.

And that process is always faster and more violent than the way up...

Housing will become shelters again.

And only than the Housing market can recover and will become healthy again.

I'm indeed in the camp that thinks current price is a steal...

This...

Not just because of financial gains or losses.

But because #Bitcoin is probably a last chance to escape the fiat system and as such prevent the almost certain dystopian social credit score system that they are trying to roll out world wide.

I didn't embrace #Bitcoin to just exchange the fiat rat race for the next rat race.

As long as I don't escape governments overreach / abuse, I will still be in a rat race.

Funding stuff I don't agree upon.

Being robbed of my wealth.

I realize there is a balance between what you should expect to be in place to make life easier more luxurious etc compared to what amount of taxes you pay.

But I'm also 'free' to choose for the balances that are out there.

There are very few places with a small enough government that still manage to provide / allow an acceptable ( personal) way of living.

But the biggest factor is willingness to give up some of our unneeded luxuries and to put in the effort.

Freedom never came nor ever will be, for free.

So much truth in there that many can't see or realize.

#Bitcoin is "just" sound money.

To escape government overreach and abuse you need to take action.

Freedom never came and will never be, for free.

Sound money is a great tool but without freedom mostly lame as a duck.

We are entering the time more people are realizing this.

Governments regulating and taxing Bitcoin.

Bitcoin enables you to escape tyranny.

But they will make it harder to do so every single day.

Put your Bitcoin to work.

Choose for Bitcoin friendly jurisdictions.

Make game theory efficient.

Just buying some Bitcoin and beating the government sounds great but they won't allow it.

And be honest that would be too easy....

I have been spenfing sats since December 2023.

Because there is no such thing as waiting for the top, since there won't be a top.

It could well be replenishing has also stopped, since I'm trying to leave that fiat shit behind me.

To not see the probability #Bitcoin is potentially going to be a worldwide 'Gold Rush" on steroids could be a huge mistake.

Nothing wrong with "save in #bitcoin because fiat will just kill your savings with inflation"

But if enough people realize that, the first one is hard to not become a reality ?

People like things to be clear, but they seldom are.

If you only see a situation from the moment you like to start viewing or are shown it, is easy to judge.

Trying to go beyond that point and see what could have caused things to escalate at that point, means you have to put in time, critical thinking, and probably come to an unclear situation or even a conclusion you don't like.

Most Humans are easy to manipulate, and than some, but admitting that, or being wrong, and than some, is not easy.

But everyone has to ho there before they can start changing.

WHAT ARE THE BEST COUNTRIES FOR BITCOINERS TO RELOCATE TO (WITH THEIR FAMILIES)?

I am interested in relocating to a freedom loving country. And it’s a big plus if it’s Spanish or Portuguese speaking and safe.

EL SALVADOR

+ A couple of Bitcoin circular economies

+ Spanish speaking

+ Homeschooling legal

+ Not part of NATO and EU --> most likely not involved in WWIII

+ Safe

- The prison is full of angry satanists, who presumably want to break free

- The success of the country is a bit of a one man show

COSTA RICA

+ Bitcoin Jungle is an impressive circular economy

+ Spanish speaking

+ Homeschooling legal

+ Not part of NATO and EU --> most likely not involved in WWIII

- Home invasions are very normal in Costa Rica, according to a friend of mine. And the country seems to be pretty unsafe.

MADEIRA (PORTUGAL)

+ A big Bitcoin circular economy

+ Homeschooling legal

+ Portuguese speaking

- Portugal is part of EU and NATO --> if the shit hits the fan, Madeira is equally fucked and nobody cares about the fact that Madeira is supposed to be an autonomous region. And considering the fact that it’s an island it might be even more fucked than the mainland of Portugal.

PORTUGAL

+ Perhaps Bitcoin adoption is easier in the mainland of Portugal thanks to the example given by Madeira

+ Homeschooling legal

+ Portuguese speaking

- Portugal is part of EU and NATO --> if the shit hits the fan, it’s most likely involved in WWIII

LUGANO (SWITZERLAND)

+ Bitcoin widely accepted

+ Not part of NATO and EU --> most likely not involved in WWIII

+ Safe

- Homeschooling is not legal

- Not Spanish or Portuguese speaking

THE OLD EUROPEAN COMMUNIST COUNTRIES (CZECH, HUNGARY, ROMANIA ETC.)

+ Homeschooling is legal in Czech (and in theory in Hungary and Romania too)

+ Lots of clever people who do not like what is happening in the EU and NATO.

+ They want to get out of EU and NATO…

- …but Ursula & co. won’t let them because they are needed as human shields in the WWIII

- not Spanish or Portuguese speaking.

Not sure what to do next. All the comments are much appreciated. What would you choose?

I'm having Madeira on my rader right now.

El Salvador,

All you say+

Prices are somehow 10-20 years ahead but no guarantee it will continue this way.

I as white European will have a hard time to integrate (only three weeks experience but that is how I felt).

It is still 'under developed'

Costa Rica

Don't know haven't been there yet.

All of Europe:

Europe is fucked big time, I only see it going worse.

Why than Madeira:

Europe but isolated from the main landmass.

Nothing there of real value to invade, bomb etc

I'm an immigrant never the less, but at least among other white Europeans.

If things go really bad Madeira can be self sufficient.

Still Bitcoin friendly (tax laws) and I hope will stay long enough due to being autonomic (Doubtfull but what else)

Expensive housing but else 'cheap' compared to other Europe.

There doesn't seem to be a prefect answer.

Unknown, to me, Options:

South America

Curaçao

?

One doesn't change overreach by lauching as long as they are not being caught.

They force you to be going dark with your money, how are your kids gonna spend it on something usefull like a house ?

I understand your basic reaction.

Me myself only came to these insights a few years ago.

And still by no way is there an easy solution.

But freedom never was nor will ever be for free.

" will allow people to hand down savings without corresponding tax burden"

How did you got to that conclusion ?

If not yet, they will probably also tax Bitcoin.

Not paying taxes if 'demanded' on Bitcoin is the 'same' as not paying taxes on anything else 'demanded'.

Is this the ultimate argument against AI ?

Sometimes the human soft aspects (kind, willing to help) are more important than some undeniably hard facts.

So unless we see the 'correct consciousness' within AI we should never give it any power... (and even than...).

The solution is not easy.

Bitcoin is mostly not understood.

My reply to another:

Bitcoin being sound money is part of a solution.

Ending government (others) overreach and abuse are things money can't solve.

So as always freedom doesn't come for free.

We have to active choose/support jurisdictions that are better.

Luckily Bitcoin is a tool that makes just doing that a lot easier (still not easy, I know).

If enough people do these things all bad governments will be starved.

And a new healthy competition for the best jurisdictions can start.

It must be opposite to the power, money, bully, insane competition that is current in place.

Great 'basic' advise.

Not sure if a passphrase is needed if a secure seed storage is in place, it adds complexity, definitely don't only memorize it !

Understand what you do, test your stuff, than add value.

Despotic totalitarianism only needs things to continue as they are.

The greatness option requires us plebs to align and keep something like Bitcoin pure (as a start).

We don't even have enough plebs who understand Bitcoin.

Let alone will put some effort into keeping it pure, I don't even know how...

It can be a bit frustrating to be honest.

The two biggest risks for Bitcoin are playing out right now:

Enough people owning their private keys

Poisoning the protocol from the inside.
