My next system will be just a metal stock tank, I’ve used the plastic ones which eventually break. A pond liner one was a lot of work, more gallons, although I should have used 4x4s.

#grownostr I love my aquaponics system, makes a ton of plants every year. Here is my video with an overview: https://youtu.be/tonWFmAPZzg?feature=shared

#grownostr peas growing through a half inch of ground biochar. I didn’t charge it or anything.

Yeah, I’ve used it a few times, works great.

#grownostr something I’ve been thinking about code name “project mulberry”. Exchange plants/seeds to nostriches with no monetary exchange.

You can utilize www.pirateship.com to get pretty good pricing on shipping, most cases you can order a porch pickup.

I’ve got a whole bed of mulberry, waiting for a freeze so I can ship bare root plants. I’m always looking to diversify what I have.

#grownostr it’s supposed to finally rain a few inches down here in Houston. Had to get one last burn for biochar, I’ve probably made 30 gallons of processed biochar this year. Most has gone into garden beds.

Cool site, https://www.gutenberg.org/cache/epub/61880/pg61880-images.html

reading about building a home. Seems like history repeats itself… 300% increase in material costs around 1913

Worked at a funeral home for awhile, really obese people die young. Maybe 40-50, everyone else is older, or random accidents. Don’t be fat, super bad for you.

I just cut off the rubber gasket thing on the intake, works much better. I do have the biochar somewhat damp, then I don’t deal with a bunch of dust. You will have to clean it midway, because of the biochar sludge. I can do about 5 gallons in 20 minutes.

Yeah, try this one or some of my latest. Basically just flood the bed every 15 minutes with water. Eventually they will root. https://youtu.be/t9qYinQVtRs?feature=shared
