Stumbling around

I know much more about #Bitcoin than about Lightning. Please recommend materials #asknostr

Great idea, could be implemented in an app with added gamification: every amount saved through pantry logistics gets auto-stacked into sats

toys fiat cycle: toys are ever more cheaply and jankily made, kids learn that toys don't last, and that if they smash them they will always get more

Is a pantry list a list of things that should be in the pantry?

I would say it's a cure for rampant seignorage more than usury.

Agreed, being selfish is a bad way to make money, it leads to unhappy employees/customers/partners which is not accretive in the long run

How does a noob get started on reading the bible? Just read it from cover to cover?

I love #nostr!

And I am thinking about possible attacks against it, and how they could be countered (similar to my thinking on #Bitcoin).

Here is a possible attack that I could envisage: since it is free to generate nsec/npub pairs, generate a billion pairs, and saturate all the free relays with LLM-generated conversation. This would require relays to become very good at detecting this, or else everyone would be almost forced to move to paid relays.

I consider the latter more likely, nothing beats imposing a physical cost, as #Bitcoin has taught us over the past decade and a half. But relying solely on paid relays would pose a harsh onboarding problem. If you need to shell out money (and sats no less) from day 1, the vast majority of people will never take their first step into #nostr.

Thoughts?

primal.net , although I haven't tried snort (just because I dislike the name, sounds like something centered on drugs)

Doesn't a repost/retweet send to all my relays as well?

And then you print out a copy for safekeeping in a well-labelled binder

Congrats to the nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg primal.net dev, excellent web client! I quite like the "explore" tab. Feature request - I would like to specify a time window. For instance network/mostzapped shows me a list topped with a post 5 months ago, I would the most zapped during the last 24 hours or the last week

I can hardly imagine anything more meaningful to spend my money on
