The Postmodern Caveman (PMC) is an anachronism, suggesting our survival in this precarious, modern world must be simultaneously technological and basic.

Thank you for the feedback! πŸ‘πŸ» According to the Google Play store, WalletOfSatoshi is not available on Android. πŸ˜Άβ€πŸŒ«οΈ I have an Android phone. Some other folks recommended Alby. I'll check it out. Cheers

Michael Saylor's thesis includes the idea that M2 is the real measure of USD fiat inflation. I don't know if this idea is quantitatively proven, but on a gut-level it's more probable than the CPI metric. Nevertheless, beware of #spuriouscorrelation https://www.tylervigen.com/spurious-correlations

Ok, everyone, I'm new to #NOSTR, and I don't have a #BTC Lightning wallet yet. Do you have recommendations? I have an Android phone, and I use various hardware wallets for long-term HODLING. My current plan is to choose a software lightning wallet, send BTC to the software wallet, and - once lightning payment channels are closed - send long-term BTC savings back to my hardware wallet. Otherwise, BTC amounts in a lightning wallet should be kept low, and treated as small amounts of cash/ spending money. What lightning software wallet do you recommend for security and use-ability on Android? I'm not very technical, so I probably won't build my own Lightning node. Any other advice about getting started with the ⚑ Lightning Network? ⚑

☝🏻 Probably the NSA sitting in a dark room, not the FBI; still hilarious πŸ˜‚

I'm interested in any and all opinions of Raoul Pal's "Everything Code" and his advice series, "How to Unf*** Yourself" on RealVision. I recently listened to Pal's interview with Nathaniel Whittemore, and he makes some startling assertions. Mostly, I'm skeptical of anyone who claims to have figured out the future of money, geopolitics, and finance. I'm willing to dig deeper into Pal's views, but I need some citations, charts, and data. Pal quotes a lot of numbers and correlations in the interview below, but he doesn't offer any sources for this information. I'm curious what others think about his macroeconomic analysis? Interview below: https://youtu.be/qJ4yb78o_f0?feature=shared

Even the NYT has reported 14 CIA bases, which the US has been operating out of Ukraine since 2014. During the Trump administration, the covert operation was greatly expanded, and Biden built 2 more bases, bringing the total number from 12 to 14 (according to the Times). I don't think the US covert warfare in Ukraine is only a Russian propaganda narrative. Of course this level of CIA, covert warfare activity would provoke conflict with Russia. I hate it for the Ukrainians because you're caught in the middle. But, I do believe one dimension of the conflict is US/NATO interests vs. Putin/Russian interests in the region.

Interesting. I'd like to hear a more detailed explanation of Saylor's "digital property" thesis. Regardless, #BTC does face regulatory risks bc it represents a threat to the Central Banks, Government, and TradFi COIs.

I'm convinced the biggest headwinds facing BTC HODLERS are 1) Lack of privacy for ordinary BTC users, and 2) Stablecoin & FIAT on-and-off-ramps are in fact bottlenecks that can and will be exploited by the counterparties listed above.

See the following talk by Ed Snowden for reference: https://youtu.be/H-fQ7i8q5C8?feature=shared

Hi, Michael, I wish I could get certain of my family members to understand your #Capitalism quote!

So, you're an #AustrianEconomics guy, and you like #BTC? I went to a conference at the #MisesInstitute in Auburn, AL way back in 2009. #PeterSchiff was one of the guest-speakers, and he has since become a vocal opponent of BTC. Of course, back then BTC was not well known.

I've sorta lost touch with the Mises Institute community. What's the general attitude among prominent, Austrian scholars towards BTC? Are they usually negative or is Schiff more of an outlier? Not that Schiff is a scholar, but he's been floating around the Austrian community for a while, lending his celebrity to the scene (for a generous honorarium I'm sure - haha).

"Yo!" Love that...are you in NYC? I lived in NY for 5 years, but I moved back south a while ago. Don't hear the "Yo's" as often in my neck of the woods nowadays. So, what's your story? Are you an ADA Stake Pool Operator? How come you're so bullish on Cardano? Inquiring minds wanna know, yo! πŸ˜‰

I love me some #BTC , but where do the #Cardano folks hang out on #NOSTR ?? πŸ¦—πŸ¦—πŸ¦—

Right?! I just recently learned about "spurious correlation." It's a thing! A friend told me about an actuary who publishes randomly correlated data sets just for for fun (if you're into that kinda thing - haha): https://www.tylervigen.com/spurious-correlations
