Why make all these fancy self-driving features, fancy auto-body, ect. that raise the price and reduce adoption?

These elites do not believe their own hype, and Tesla is the biggest privacy invader out there.

Paintings that have been dry for a few days can be protected with a retouching varnish.

It is not as protective as the final varnish (which can only be given about 6 months after the painting has been finished), but it is still a good protection and gives the brush strokes a sheen.

Most FOSS is basically driven by programmers' passion – but on average programmers suck at UX.

We need better incentives for more professionals other than programmers (designers, product people, psychologists) to join open source projects and turn them into real competition to traditional high-quality closed-source applications.

Agree, but in the early stages, if the robots are still under human control, won't we be able to deploy them to take to the streets in our place? Once the price of them comes down, it will be affordable. Even now it's possible to just deploy a few hundred/thousand simple drones that could just perform basic nuisance tactics. No need for weapons or violence, just nuisance. I'm a bit surprised it hasn't been seen yet in civil disobedience scenarios as it limits the physical danger to humans who would usually be subject to tear gas/rubber bullets/live fire etc. I'm picturing "Anonymous" sitting in a room on the other side of the world sending a bunch of mini drones....
