Will my cannabis be seedy because I let a male start dropping pollen in the cannabis garden?

https://i.imgur.com/xODJzkG.mp4

I let a male cannabis plant reach maturity in the rabbit colony cannabis garden. It was the last pineapple pomegranate seed I had so I wanted to let it produce pollen to save for breeding. I harvested the pollen and pulled the plant to feed to the rabbits. The female plants have just barely started to produce flowers so I don't think I'll end up with too many seeds (and if I do I kinda want them anyway). The rabbits sure do love to eat cannabis.

For those who have experience preserving pollen please point me in the direction of some good techniques.

All the plants in the cannabis garden are successfully pollinated!

I had one seed left from the original pineapple pomegranate genetics that turned out to be a male so I let it produce pollen in the cannabis garden.

I tried saving some of the pollen but it looks like I won't need it as well developed seeds are ripening on all the plants.

I'm trying to select for pink color, vigorous large growth, and a super lemon haze high. Plus, a friend and fellow bitcoiner gave me white widow and gold leaf seeds this year which are now crossed with pineapple pomegranate. I'm going to have lots of options next season!

The lady bugs are staying vigilant keeping the plants pest free and looking healthy too.

Learn how to apply permaculture to your lifestyle to build sovereignty, resilience, and wealth in this 3 hour class. I will detail how I apply the permaculture ethics and principles to homesteading, share how I build resilience in my wealth with the 8 forms of capital, and illuminate the connections between Bitcoin and permaculture. After the learning about applied permaculture, eat lunch prepared with fresh food grown on the homestead. After lunch I will give a full homestead tour showcasing living examples to see the ethics and principles of permaculture in action. Thinkin like nostr:npub1f5pre6wl6ad87vr4hr5wppqq30sh58m4p33mthnjreh03qadcajs7gwt3z got me the motivation to find my “farm” this is the new frontier i have tipped my skis towards.

This is the reason why I find it important to share permaculture! It can change your life and point you in unimaginable directions. Looking forward to seeing your farm one day.

Harvesting elderberry before the birds eat it all

It's been busy around the homestead and sometimes yields can slip through our fingers. The elderberry has been ready to pick for several days now but not had time to harvest. Today I made sure to get at least enough for a load in the Bitcoin mining dehydrator. If the birds eat the rest so be it. I call that the nature tax.

Oh wow, yeah, a little short notice to come all the way from Europe. The plan on doing nostr nests discussing permaculture as part of the nostr:npub1luwkteu2eq2e97n7hw0tlj03vvgguzl0srm3vkxz2jt75wpaf9tspt9cqrchannel in the near future. There will definitely be more opportunities to learn online.

I means a lot to know you really got something out of it. Saw your comments on fountain too. Shoot me a DM if you want to attend the class or meetup.

The yurt is now booked but the house (sleeps 6) is still available. There are plenty of Airbnbs near the location and camping here at the homestead.

Squash in the food forest is growing well

Last year the squash didn't do so well but this season it's looking on track for a decent harvest. Starting to climb up the trees looking for more light. We plant subsistence crops like squash, garlic and potatoes in-between the rows of perennials in the food forest to take advantage of the light before the canopy closes with the fruit trees. By doing so, not only am I preparing the soil to grow the annuals but when there isn't enough light to grow them any more I will have brought in fertility to feed the fruit trees for years to come.

I'm by no means an expert so definitely ask around more to see what's going on. Is it moldy at all?

I'm not sure what's going on but it doesn't look good. My only thought was that if they were autos you may have waited too long to harvest. They are quite a bit further ahead than my plants which made me think they might be autos.

There is chicken wire bent in an L shape going 1ft on the ground and 3ft up the fence. The space is so large that they don't want/need to dig out either.

Had an excellent conversation with nostr:npub1cqm6dztalp4l6n04f9k20c333xftgangjla337736dr6faz9na0qf2hjec on Bitcoin Rapid Fire. We talk bitcoin meetups, permaculture, pleb mining, and more. I always love how Jon takes conversations to deeper more philosophical realms.

My sheep eat poison ivy, so I assume the rabbits will too. I'll tell you what they definitely don't like, stinging nettle. It's the only thing they don't eat in the cannabis garden.

Rabbits eating mulberry prunings

https://i.imgur.com/pA6pEk4.mp4

I've pruned this mulberry tree several times this season to feed the rabbits. I barely made a dent in it this pruning and the rabbits got more than a full meal out of it. I'll keep pruning it until there's nothing left going into the fall. It was a volunteer in the food forest so I'm not concerned if I kill it. Eventually I might want the space for another fruit tree anyway. For now, it's growing into rabbit meat.

No, heat is needed to get high but CBD is stored in fat so we get a dose of the CBD when we eat them.
