A low-fi audiozine that puts the punk back in cypherpunk.

I was in a record store digging through cassettes. And there was this unmarked section and it had ROWS of these bootlegs in drawers.

I asked the owner and he said he bought the entire collection off this guy. I should really go back just to take a picture of it!

GM! I'm in the train to my beautiful, tiny, soft and plushy and noisy boys (I miss my cubs very much) and nostr:nprofile1qqsy6j4hxl30hdd0pl2epd9harr0uakn5q4f0y000ldv7cqlneg04kqpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezumt0d5hs8evllp is accompanying me! πŸ€ͺ Well, he's on #Fountain in my ears and now has probably like 3AM, but he's here. Boy, does he have a smoooth voice and knows his cassettes. I'm quite entertained by the explanation of storing seed the metal way.❀️‍πŸ”₯ 🀘

GM! Nice message for me to see in the morning, glad you liked it! In less than a week I'll have the second one and I have some nice surprises on it. πŸ˜€

Wow, what a find. Live recording of the Jerry Garcia Band, December 1983. If I didn't know better I'd sat this was a studio performance.

It's recorded on Maxell XLIIS and sounds amazing.

TBH, I'm not even a huge Jerry Garcia fan but this recording and performance is 🀯

I had heard of these recordings from tapers of this era, where they would just go set up microphones at concert to record them and make bootlegs.

I don't know the history of this particular tape but if it's truly a live recording, I'm holding on to this one πŸ˜€

There's too much too do at this conference! 🀣 I need to be in 3 places at once. This looks πŸ”₯

I'm still buying tapes πŸ˜€ I just found a store with bootleg Greatful dead and Allam Brothers Band recorded live on Maxell IIs.

Yes, the sound fades. Yes, you have to replace the felt pads. But to me, that's the point. It is the best portable analog music format we have.

I really dislike listening to music on my phone -- I'm basically not even listening.

I can record this on tape too and bring a few with me if people want a bootleg cassette version πŸ˜€ I'll the npubs in there too. I even have orange tapes!

Sweet thanks. I'll give it a shot. I'm using castapod to host my rss feed and I can't remember if they have a gui for this. But they for sure allow you to modify the json so I should be good to try it.

I'm having too much fun with this cover art :)

I forgot to do chapter titles on this one which would have helped. I know that No Agenda updates them later so I should be able to also add them even after publication. I'm just not sure how to do this, yet.

Next week, I should have the chapter links from the start.

Yes, me :) in one week I'll be releasing the next issue of bitpunk.fm that will do ecash, over qr, over audio, over cassette.

You can listen to the first episode (it's also a podcast) and learn how to encode data with the waver app. I made a short cut here: waver.bitpunk.fm

Some people will get electrical schematics on the cover. ⚑️

I will have to ask if people are synthesizer fans and give them this one.

I think my schematic drawings are perhaps better than my punk art. 🀣

Practicing my punk line art for the next casette cover, which will be out I 1 week!

I'm going to do a run of 30-35 tapes and each jcard will be different. Which goes with the theme of the title πŸ™Š

I ran a very lower power pirate radio station in prague once so I could earn my fm "stripes." πŸ€£πŸ“»
