Yes but if you master the oils and the bombs you will have a perfect build for the school of the bear armor. So, it would right up your alley π π»
Ohh, nice. With ecash it's easy to encode over audio for sure but each cd would have to be unique. Which really isn't a problem for small runs.
Then they play track 1 or whatever, get the cashu token from the audio, and paste it in there ecash wallet.

He has helped hundreds of musicians get their own self-hosted RSS feeds AND hosted the first boostable/zappable Battle of the Bands called The Satellite Skirmish. You two should follow each other. π
Also, here's a link to the Skirmish video on Podverse as I'm not sure video playback works on mobile Fountain: https://podverse.fm/podcast/L6Gw3BUtI
Ohh, yes! Thanks for the suggestion!
Being on a platform like Wavlake is actually centralized music, the opposite of #DeMu decentralized music, but there are lots of people who'd love to teach you to build your own RSS feed and self-host your tracks, myself included! There are also services like RSS Blue and Music Side Project that take all the work out of it. But for the DIYers out there:
https://github.com/de-mu/demu-feed-template/blob/master/feed-with-comments.xml
I guess the pitch for wavlake as an artist is that it sets the up for you? But I agree it's odd. It seems a bit one step forward two steps back.
I was disappointed to learn it's also just serving mp3 quality and you can download the track pretty easily.
OK nostr:nprofile1qqsy6j4hxl30hdd0pl2epd9harr0uakn5q4f0y000ldv7cqlneg04kqpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezumt0d5hs8evllp bear with this technically illiterate for a sec:
- audiotapes can carry a digital signature signal that is 'not obtrusively audible' right?
- you are technical Wizz. could you a) make prototype b) post instructions how to next point
- build a 'DIY' cassette player that not only plays the audio, but also is connected to LCD screen that creates Zap/LNURL barcodes that are linked to the digital signature signal
- now you (and maybe other inspired peepz) can send out analog tapes, people play them and can zap on the timeframes they like, which are linked to chapters as digital signatures π€
- you can then signal these zaps (with message if they put one in) back to Nostr as a anonymous comment but on the right ep/chapter with specific tag.
-Analog listers can now see what other listeners think about specific parts on specific episodes.
-You can even zap/share if specific parts is by f.e. band or artist
Up to here a complete random brainfart π¨ carry on
Oh man, lots to think about here. So a cassette deck should be able to record ultrasonic frequency, the max frequency is like 20kHz. But playback might be inconsistent so I will try.
Second, I have thought about the diy cassette deck already π It is a bit complicated to do cemetery from scratch these days unfortunately. Although, I would love to build a cassette deck product... but anyway, so if we assume there is a cassette deck with line or headphone out, this gets easier.
So this next issue, which comes out in 1.5 week you will like the experiment I do. I send a qr code over audio :) and it will show up on your phone like a fax. It is audible though and takes 2 minutes.
I did however add the nostr qr codes for the contributors on the cassette cover for me, nostr:nprofile1qqsf37qcuu353dsyqaawqjdg8rr7vm7srchr76x9uqh3zfv2yuz07pqpg3mhxw309ahhsarjv3jhvctkxc685d35093rw7pkwf4xwdrww3a8z6ngv4jx6dtzx4ax5ut4d36kw6mwdpa8ydpkdeunyutzv9jzummwd9hkutcpz4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezummcw3ezuer9wchszythwden5te0dehhxarj9emkjmn99uyn6674 and nostr:nprofile1qqs0cu4wf0x3g99dg0qz795j5taln5caux0929tkazem59pd9wqkm0sprpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujucm4wfex2mn59en8j6f0qy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9uq3xamnwvaz7tm0venxx6rpd9hzuur4vghs7jwvrz so people can follow / zap. It is however just static not linked to the content (but the track list credits the artists).
If we add a mixer with a high pass filter, the data bits could perhaps be filtered to go to this lcd and the rest of the audio goes to the listener. I think this is basically Dolby noise reduction but in the other side of the spectrum.
Love the idea though, thanks for your thoughts. I've been noodling something like this.
Lastly, I submitted a talk for HCPP in prague in October so if accepted this would be a Cool thing to demo there.

do you have a license for that typewriter ser?
https://newsletter.pessimistsarchive.org/p/remember-typewriter-licenses
this thinking is coming back to your favorite state. otherwise - gulag.
This is why I still like typewriter fonts π
GM! Double or single shot? π€£βοΈ
Yeah, it was me and 2 colleagues. Thanks. π
Try fanny pack carry. You can practice a decent draw and no suspects it. Just add lip balm and sun screen for extra obfuscstion.
When we hacked the Trezor back in 2018 at CCC, I argued that these holographic stickers were worthless. They are easy to remove with hot air.
However, I was wrong. I have found the perfect application. When used on a cassette tape, the sticker removes the ferric oxide bonding from the plastic of the tape! It is actually tamper evident!
This is by far, the best tamper evidence I've seen. The picture shows the clear (damaged) portion of the tape under the playback head.
The tape still plays, just the audio drops out momentarily.
So yeah, tamper stickers on cassettes. They work.

Some notes on this:
Every morning I get up and work for bitcoin, but this is a a bit more literal... π As many of you know I build and sell signers as a way to get them into more people's hands, and to support my individual work on our project. The revenue from the signers and other things I sell in my online shop (https://btc-hardware-solutions.square.site; Entropia, Go Kits, SeedKeepers, etc.) is how I'm able to cover expenses related to the project, and to travel to conferences and meetups where I can share information on SeedSigner and what I've learned during my personal bitcoin journey relative to cold storage, given my unique background. Here and there I'm also able to help cover some of our family's expenses.
When we recently transitioned to a new approach to user donations at https://donate.seedsigner.com I intentionally withdrew myself as a donation recipient. I wanted our most active technical contributors to be the ones benefitting from donations, directly receiving periodic digital monetary expressions of gratitude over time as the project grows and reaches more and more bitcoiners. (As a side note -- if you're a user or otherwise receiving value from our project, I'd encourage you to send some sats their way via the above URL.)
As for myself, I've always offered to sell signers p2p for bitcoin via DMs / email, but for a long time I've been wanting to level up in that regard. Over the last weeks I've finally gotten a proper LN node set up, where I also run nostr:npub155m2k8ml8sqn8w4dhh689vdv0t2twa8dgvkpnzfggxf4wfughjsq2cdcvg and a modest (for now) web presence. I need to express a lot of gratitude to nostr:npub1l5pxvjzhw77h86tu0sml2gxg8jpwxch7fsj6d05n7vuqpq75v34syk4q0n, nostr:npub1r7psmkr4zv93xnal8un6d8hvmpsn5jvhfzn3kk38rfcel6awznks7znspg and nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll for their help as I've worked to become more of a 1st class bitcoin citizen.
With planned trips to Nashville, Atlanta, and Amsterdam to represent the project on the horizon, I'm looking to stack some sats that will help me continue to spread the SeedSigner gospel of a more trustless, more self-reliant approach to saving with bitcoin. So I've set up this small online store where I'll be selling some of the items from my Square shop for sats. I'm starting with milled aluminum signers (kudos to nostr:npub1l2xfcjd8k5l3c6mkpd95uptdnxcqw5yms0pz57l7v46qzgdju0msy96ndl for his continued amazing work on these enclosures) and I'm offering a small discount and free protective case for paying with bitcoin.
If you've been looking for the right opportunity to upgrade your SeedSigner experience, or if you've been waiting for a decent deal on one, please consider supporting my work in this way -- the URL is below.
Otherwise, a big thank you all for the kindness and support that so many bitcoiners have shown me over the last couple of years -- I hope to get to shake your hand at an event soon. π§‘π
Nice, congrats on the launch! Hoping to run into you again in Nashville!
I also have a good saying for this, it will be I think the title of my third issue:
"Sponsorship = Censorship"
Yeah I do find it ironic that rug pulling a license is ok with everyone. π€·ββοΈ
Yes, a van always needs more antennas!
I gotta up my game! I went to physical therapy for an issue and they said I was doing push-ups slightly wrong. I have too much curve in my lower back.
So I'm still trying to retrain myself by doing slightly easier inclined push-ups until I can correct my form.
Honestly yes, this is what I'd love. I want the file and want to support the artist. I think most people even tip extra on bandcamp too.
They save their songs as uuids so you have to rename them.

You can just use your browser, go to the inspector, and you'll see the mp3 show up in the media stream. So yeah, π€·ββοΈ
I kinda expecting ".wav" files from wavlake π€£
