A low-fi audiozine that puts the punk back in cypherpunk.

I use gnucash for quite some time. It takes some getting used to. But basically you enter btc as a symbol and that's it, gnucash don't care.

You could have sheckels in gnucash and it will handle it.

You are right, I am hearing that on playback in nostr:npub1v5ufyh4lkeslgxxcclg8f0hzazhaw7rsrhvfquxzm2fk64c72hps45n0v5. It sounded fine when I was done with it, wonder if it’s a fountain glitch or I did something uploading it on nostr:npub1gr65v2hqq83n3vqfh6m65eej65hxlqwyjp0echc9ghvw5p6pvqpse3mmjc? nostr:npub1unmftuzmkpdjxyj4en8r63cm34uuvjn9hnxqz3nz6fls7l5jzzfqtvd0j2 nostr:note1aylavfnrqxj0k0uhzjt00ntmwu2xx3p9es0gnemcd5u3ukde5xxs4w3x08

Ftw, I was listening on fountain as well, I didn't check any other clients though, that would confirm if it's a client issue or an upload issue.

Can you check the podcast? Like listening to "the hard way" it's not sounding right to me, like cut out. You and Abel are coming through fine.

Not finished yet but I have a question for y'all. What do y'all think of bandcamp?

I get the spotify hate. I like the v4v work going on. Bit tbh, I really like bandcamp. I like how you can buy the flacs and have them. I like buying the merch (mainly vinyl and tape).

I'm sure there cut is probably more than wavlake but is it not also a #v4v platform? You can pay what you want.

I get that bandcamp is not bitcoinified, but what's the feeling from yall. It can't be more niche than nostr πŸ˜€

For 5v stuff I just use 5v arduinos. Arduino nano every. The Pico is cheaper but level shifting is such a pain in the ass.

That sparkfun level shifter is almost the cost of the Pico so just yolo it and run 5v into your io pins. If it burns out, just move it to different pins.

It occured to me that people here might both enjoy and not know about #PagedOut

https://pagedout.institute/

"Paged Out! is a free experimental (one article == one page) technical magazine about programming (especially programming tricks!), hacking, security hacking, retro computers, modern computers, electronics, demoscene, and other similar topics."

#hacking #retro #computing #security #infosec #electronics #demoscene #zine #mag #magazine

I still get 2600 magazine for example. The zine that doesn't die.

While the quality of submissions has changed its still an amazing zine. Paid for by members.

This is baller. I'm not sure about the paid sponsorships though, that might come back to bite you.

Sponsorship = censorship.

But overall, this is amazing. I only took a quick look but I love the vibe.

I'll read it a bit more in depth.

That that should be fine. My first defcon talk was attaching wires out of my vga port for an i2c hardware implant.

If it's not smoking it's fine.

Ah it's daniel miesslers thing. I have a love / hate with that guy but I'll check out this episode.

#SelfHosters will love this one:

https://cyberpunklibrarian.com/podcast/cyberpunk-librarian-episode-66-the-radical-act-of-self-hosting/

From the author: "I firmly believe that handling your own data, running your own services, and housing it all on your own hardware is a radical act of anti-capitalism and personal expression."

Wat. Amazing. I self host my own rss feed. This is the way.

Right on, can't wait to listen!

Time for old school distribution. Zines, pirate radio, cassettes.

Make the state censors work for it. Digital makes it too easy -- keep it analog.

They should do an underground cassette distribution for their messages. Untraceable, uncensorable, unmonitorable.

If I wear a baseball hat and a backpack maybe I could pass as a TA.

Amazing book. Also, Neal is a huge emacs nerd so I consider him part of the crew.

What an amazing film. Probably the last film with Lou Ottens, then 91, thr inventor of the cassette.

Lou was asked what he thought of people that liked cassettes now, he said it was irrational. But he likes irrational. πŸ˜€

Be like Lou.
