It is especially good for retro sounds. However, i used a phone ring tone from the 90s. It was labeled old and that made me sad.
I was looking for a noise artist for bitpunk.fm. Check out the previous two episodes if you like the vibe.
I make physical tapes and hand them out at conferences. If you contribute I'll send you a tape.
Digital version goes up on my self hosted rss platform and I'll add your split (or try to, castapod can do at least full album splits).
I used a lot of the cc0 sounds for the soon to be released next episode. Footsteps, book slamming table, door shutting and more.
I made a radio drama and used these sounds.
Yes. Because: analog. Offline. Uncensorable. Unmonitorable. Decentralized distribution. Permissionless authorship.

The website looks very slick! St. Augustine is awesome, wish I could see yall there!
Amazing. One day, perhaps.
I left this on a table in Nashville. It disappeared when I went back to check on it.
Some trumpet recordings, I'm getting better!
I learned Hedwigs theme from Harry Potter to impress my kids.
Then I learned this cornet solo from a waltz in Swan Lake that, honestly by itself is not so impressive. But when it lands in the piece (and played by someone good) it's amazing.
I might try to learn some jazz pieces next. Any suggestions? Playing above the staff is still quite difficult for me.
Thanks. I don't think I realized the fountain user name as a ln address lookup bit.
I'll let you know if I get stuck!
Do you know of a good way to merge the #v4v 2.0 spec with nostr? AFAIK, to get a split from rss you need a ln address in the xml block.
For music on wavlake, this works fine, I can find the correct thing.
But I want to make the split go to a npub associated with content that doesn't exist on wavlake (and is not otherwise published), but they are on nostr. Any ideas how to do this?
I forgot to say that if your contribution ends up on the tape, I will send you one. Possibly a CD version too.
So if you can't meet me, this will guarantee you a physical copy.
If you like pen and paper cryptography, I've got a one time pads example for you coming up on the next issue.
I've matched my pacing with I think a real Cuban number station and I practiced copying it down. It's legit.
Digital listeners can participate but if you get the tape you get a bonus message.
How to get a tape? You can meet me in Prague for HCPP in early October. I will ask you if you have a cassette player. Answer correctly and truthfully and you will get one.
If you fail the response, you still get a sticker though so don't worry.
Look up those friendship bracelets on etsy. You might ditch wavlake and start frenlake at those prices.
It's almost like you can't trust hardware.
My favorite saying about this:
Hardware eventually fails, software eventually works.
When people can longer quote this from memory my time on this earth will have passed.
