If you consider hosting your own #lightningnode here is a simple hardware and Software suggestion for absolute beginners:

Install Windows (get your code from ebay 5€ or so)

Install Oracle VM.

Create a VM with 850Gb. (so 150Gb for Windows)

Download Ubuntu 22.04 Server image.

Start your VM and install ubuntu.

Super easy.

Install Umbrel. (check it out on their Homepage)

Install Bitcoin Core and LND.

Fund your Node.

Open channel to some good routing Nodes.

It is not complicated 🧑

And a much better solution as the Raspberry pi !! πŸ‘πŸ˜Ž

Enjoy your life and do what you want to do β˜€οΈπŸ˜ƒ you are doing it great and on the right side 🧑

Congrats my friend πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜πŸ’œ

I tested start9, too. It has no tailscale support and its not planned πŸ˜₯ another problem for me was: i could not use the server for anything else except start9, because it is a whole system. But it runs fast and does its job very good in the bitcoin/lightning space πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘

Disfruta tu vino rojo πŸ·πŸ˜ƒ

Great! How did you backup your old node? Turn off and copy the Lnd folder? πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘

Only open big channels and go clearnet with tunnelsats βš‘πŸ€“
