There will always be abuse, and right now a staggering amount of it is being committed by governments on a scale humanity has never before seen. Historically speaking at least, governments turn countries into graveyards, not individuals.

An important dynamic to consider is that quality of life always mirrors quality of consciousness. Living under Fiat and government tyranny for so long, and perhaps for the majority of humanity's existence, one should consider the effect that has on the quality of the consciousness of the human race.

At this moment, you have a bunch of inattentive, entitled, poisoned, propagandized adult children running around and in charge. This is an artificial state that could not exist without the government enabling it.

It takes time, and risk, but freedom will ultimately take us to a place where morality is enforced by the laws of nature from the bottom up. Prosperity will allow private charity and good Samaritan protectors to once again claim dominance.

The world would be completely transformed from what you see today, so it is no wonder that it is somewhat difficult to imagine. Just like for many socialists it is so difficult to imagine the mass graves towards which they are heedlessly hurtling.

It's also worth considering the so-called horrors of the Industrial Revolution. Where did the poverty come from that forced so many workers to accept such miserable conditions? I'm not sure that it came from the free market. What about pollution? I'm not sure that government regulations didn't ironically enable monopolies to be protected from the wrath of the customers and those living nearby, much like they do today.

There will always be turbulent times of transition, but compared to a perfect world where consciousness has no reason to develop in the first place because there are no problems to solve, it is not such a dystopia.

- Potential for Spam Transactions

While OP_CTV is designed to create more efficient transaction types, there's a risk that it could be misused to generate spam transactions, potentially clogging the network1. Adversaries might exploit this to conduct denial-of-service attacks on the Bitcoin network.

- Recursive Covenant Concerns

Although OP_CTV itself is non-recursive, its implementation could potentially enable the creation of complex scripts that lead to recursive covenants2. This could result in transactions that reference each other in circular chains, consuming network resources and causing scalability issues.

- Fragmentation of the Ecosystem

There's a risk that OP_CTV could lead to the creation of "walled gardens" within the Bitcoin ecosystem1. This could potentially fragment the network, with certain transactions only permitted within specific parameters, departing from Bitcoin's open and permissionless nature.

Jesus ate fish and put himself below the lowest of humanity, so you just double-disqualified yourself from wisdom. ✌

Sooo... you're a vegetarian? I'm all for treating animals humanely, but you seem to have forgotten how life works.

And the angel of the lord came unto me

Snatching me up from my place of slumber

And took me on high and higher still

Until we moved to the spaces betwixt the air itself

And he brought me into a vast farmlands of our own Midwest

And as we descended cries of impending doom rose from the soil

One thousand nay a million voices full of fear

And terror possessed me then

And I begged Angel of the Lord what are these tortured screams?

And the angel said unto me

These are the cries of the carrots, the cries of the carrots!

You see, Reverend Maynard

Tomorrow is harvest day and to them it is the holocaust

And I sprang from my slumber drenched in sweat

Like the tears of one million terrified brothers and roared

"Hear me now, I have seen the light!

They have a consciousness, they have a life, they have a soul!

Damn you! Let the rabbits wear glasses! Save our brothers!

Can I get an amen? Can I get a hallelujah? Thank you Jesus

Why save it? Because for decades it was a valuable part of American culture. Because Disney himself testified before Congress warning that Communists were already trying to take it over back when he was alive?

How about for the cultural momentum that wouldn't have to be started from scratch? How about for a redemption arc? How about for poetic justice?

I assume you didn't mean to give JD horns

it makes me sad to see people who value privacy and decentralization fail

It's a good meme. But you say that with 100% certainty when such is impossible, just like the anti-BTC fiatbros who say BTC is tulips.

There is a certain kind of person who is unable to estimate the chance that they could be wrong. Is that you?

I believe that the underlying unity of consciousness is the One immutable rule of the universe. All divisions are temporary illusions, there is only one true and ultimate identity which is the Universe itself, and we are all temporary subsets of that identity.

I'm with you bro, the establishment sucks. You have to work with what you got, you don't get to stamp your feet and magically a third option appears.

Trump is flawed but *demonstrably* less bad.

THIS IS WHAT YOUR ADVICE PUSHES ON PEOPLE. Trump is much less likely to do this.
