Luke has discussed this at length in the past. As a satellite node runner, there would be clear benefits to smaller blocks in terms of IBD via satellite.
Everyone wants to compare block size to home internet bandwidth, but this is folly. Initial chain download and sync is the key step and cost in terms of time and hardware is the real cost.
New bitcoin measurement unit…instead of bitcoins, sats, bits, etc, we can think of bitcoin in terms of time…
For example, there are 1440 minutes per day. There are currently 450 bitcoins mined per day on average. Thus, 1 minute of all bitcoin mining hashrate produces .3125 bitcoin.
If you had a stack of 250,000 sats, you’d have 48 seconds of global bitcoin production.
If you had a 1 bitcoin stack, that’s equivalent to 3 minutes, 12 seconds.
Of course if your stack were 3.125, you’d have 10 minutes or 1 block time.
Have you ever tried thinking of your stack in terms of time?
Those selling bitcoin now are being rather generous. They’re letting more people in on the gains to come.
Same. Never got a block though. Is feathercoin still a thing? I kinda doubt it.
I’ve seen shitcoins come and go since the days of the long forgotten StrongCoin…longevity can be a little hard to predict, but the closer they copy satoshi the longer they tend to stick around. Big premines, rapid release schedules, no PoW and huge blocks tend to kill coins quickly.
The author is unhappy the government can’t control moderation decisions on user generated by platforms. AFAICT, doesn’t address suppression of user speech on privately owned speech platforms.
This is the beginning of wisdom right here.

Vogzone 100GbE
100GbE is complicated. Maybe someone makes a 6 ft PCIE cable to connect two computers :)
I’m thinking of building a NAS, and I’m looking at 100GbE switches and network cards, but as I only would have one client at a time initially, my needs are something between a fast external hard drive and an adapter cable to connect two machines.
What happens if you connect two computers via thunderbolt4 directly?
Anything? Nothing?
I think US medical resident physicians who didn’t resign probably have the best cases. They can’t work as physicians in the US without completing training. Ever.
Indeed. Also, payoffs for winning aren’t as big as you’d think. IANAL, but my understanding is you basically get whatever money you would have had if they didn’t fire you; taking another job that pays the same or more limits the liability of the wrongful termination.
Wow! What are the chances of me winning against the City of Chicago, who put me on unpaid leave of absence, which ultimately led me to resign because I didn't comply with their vaccine mandate scam? Probably 0 😅
I'm glad to see that people stood up and are suing the morons who tried to inject the poison into their bodies and winning their cases now! There is hope!

I’m sorry you resigned. This lets them off the hook entirely.
I feel like I need to follow more people on nostr as my feed feels a little sparse.
Who am I missing? Shill me your favs so I can follow more folks…
Interesting article by a no-coiner…he wrote an early bitcoin obituary without much by way of careful/complete reasoning-after a decade of being wrong about Bitcoin, he wrote about how his thoughts have evolved:

It seems like no-coinerism is a form of mental illness. The programming of the mind runs so deep that a decade of being wrong is insufficient to question one’s priors.
That’s a mischaracterization of what supreme court said. If shooting someone is an official presidential duty, then he has immunity. If performed in his capacity as a private citizen, it might at most mean he has immunity from prosecution while president but can still be impeached and removed from office.
